Newbie Advice/Public Diaries?

Hi I am in my second week of dieting/detox and leaning more towards a Paelo stype of loosing weight. well with the exception of some rice and coffee 2 1/2 cups of coffee (No Milk or Sugar)

So what I am looking for is inspiration really, I wondered if anyone had public diaries so I could have a look to see what other people are eatting or doing so it aids me, not being nosy just genuinlly interested, most information from google all conflicts...

Also I have found that since the change to a better healthier diet I started crashing in the afternoons in work which isn't great bad head fog so my energy was spiking all over the place so now I am eatting a heavy breakfast with some snacks and a heavy lunch then very light afternoon and dinner, (this has only been the past two days of trial and error) now my energy will last me straight to bedtime.

I am shocked at the amount of carbs in veggies and the amount of natural sugars in fruit lol!.

Any advice for a 196lb who is looking to loose wight correctly, I am just concerned that my body wont go into fat burning mode with the volume of carbs, eattig a heavy meal or carb meal for an evening meal (6-7pm) wont burn off in time.

if its easier I can make my diary public if people want to see, I am looking more for inspiration from others who are in my arena (the start lol)

Thank you
S

unless you have a medical reason, there is no need to cut out carbs. if you want to, thats fine, but you dont HAVE to in order to lose weight.

You could eat 2000 cals of spaghetti right before bed and lose weight if you were in a calorie deficit.

Good morning. I have just started logging consistently and have opened my diary. Feel free to have a look. Not sure how much protein you're eating, but would highly recommend eating something high in protein every 3 hours or so (cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, chicken, whey). It has been a game changer for me... Never get the afternoon crash or cravings. Good luck :)

Also true!! If you cut your carbs too low, you will have nowhere to go if you plateau.

As a rough guide I would say set your goal to lose 1lb a week, set your macros as 40/30/30, find some exercise you like, don't cut out treats just cut down on them and be consistent and patient!

    Cheers thats sound advice,
  • My food and exercise diary is public, take a look if you would like!

Quick recommendations - eat LOTS of protein, lots of veggies, watch your sugar in take.

Feel free to message me if you have questions or anything!

My diary is open to friends if you want someone on the 40/30/30 plan. I am not perfect but some days I do pretty good :)
