Hi bethweather, I totally feel your pain. I was the same as you and just felt a spiral going down and down. you try to exercise to combat it and its still not enough to deal with the binge eating. I went to a hypnotist and very recently and I have to say have seen an amazing change in myself. I don't crave chocolate and I…

A few years ago I would wonder why the instructor is not thin and svelte from doing their work out etc but now I realise it depends on their personal circumstances. I have an under active thyroid (do not under estimate how serious this can be) and find it hard to lose weight, but I kick *kitten* at Billy Blanks! I exercise…

I've seen other threads on here where people attack a poster. I don't post because I don't want a tirade of rants.

exactly! :)

I'm with you on this. People are getting a bit agro at you. It's obvious that the instructor is uptight. It sounds like she is annoyed as her class has halved. Being late isnt a hanging offence! Any class i have been too the instructor has not been like that.
-
Would it not be more appropriate to ask why they are late before being ignored? You don't know that person's situation.

Finally, someone with perspective. It's a class. Being 15 mins late is not good but you can always be better next time. If she was acting like this then don't bother with her. I she wants people to come to her classes then she should be more friendly. I know the type you mean . Go somewhere where you will feel good about…

Hello, Have you had your thyroid bloods checked recently? http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/pregnancy-and-thyroid-disease/ . This is a great website with loads of info. I am hypothyroid myself and if I forget to take my meds in the best way for me I have a very bad day (today is one of them) What are you taking eltroxin…

It sounds like a good idea to me. I haven't done it myself but you might find more success in measuring your waist, hips and arms. I havent lost anything in 6 months according to the scales. What I was doing is now not working. But I do look better I know that. I keep meaning to take my measurements but when I wake in the…

This is great. But I get up at 3am to eat and I eat and eat. I sleep heavily and then bam Im up. Im aware of what Im doing but cant control it like being hypnotised I suppose. Anyone else the same?

OK don't know whats happening to my posts. So anyway thanks for the suggestions. I have read about melatonin and have a saliva test to do which also for adrenal glands (these can be a problem with thyroid). If I could stop I would. I don't smoke and I don't drink hate both quite a lot really. Not even tempted when I go to…

No no struggling to sleep. I exercise an hour a day (half hour walk, half hour zumba) 2 days off a week from that though. I still get up twice a night to go to the bathroom (used to be once no idea why twice now!) But maybe the tapes will help will have a look. Thank you,

No I didnt mention it as a habit. I do it every night half sleep walking half knowing what Im doing but unable to stop. A sleep haze really

Hi Lulabelle, Sorry to here weight loss has stopped. Are you on Eltroxin/Levo for the thyroid? I too have an underactive thyroid and could not lose any weight while taking them. no matter what I did, and I'm not the only person. I changed to Armour thyroid and things got better. I still have to diet and exercise but have…
