I've been hypo for 10 years. I am glad you're diagnosed and your health will start improving. It's hard to lose weight and by hypo even on meds. Feel free to add me if you like. I lost 40 pounds and then gained 20 back (nothing I did to cause this), I am now relosing that weight again, but like the other commenters…

His first proposal was on our offical 1st date (I was 16). His second was 2 years later at my high school graduation. We've been married for 13 years.

I count too, they have to 3....I rarely get to 3. I take away the DSi, no fishing trips, all of the most favorite things when they are acting up. They are really good boys 80% of the time.

You aren't going to like this, but honestly it will be harder for you to lose the weight than a "normal" person, at least it was for me. That doesn't mean that you can't, it means you have to try harder and work harder, the best part of that is when you do lose it, you will feel so good that you did it. I did. I don't have…

It's due to your height and weight. The bigger you are (taller/weight) wise the more you burn. On a good day I burn 300 for 40 mins most of the time it's closer to the 275 mark. My husband burns at least 2 to 3 times in the same amount of time, but he is 10 inces taller and has 110 pounds on me. Good luck and just keep at…

I am sorry that your family is being that way. I have run into the same things. Good luck to you!

The only thing I would say is to watch your sodium levels. Good luck to you!

This is my opinion, but dependant on the amount of weight you need to lose, eat your maintaince calories then use your exercise as your defiecient. I started to do that when I got close to my goal so it would be easier to learn how to maintain. So far I have kept all but 5 pounds off for almost 2 years. Good luck!!

You have to take height into account too. Just because they say they are 140 pounds and felt heavy well that might be true if they are 5'1".

Medication will do so much to help, though watching your food will end up being the biggest factor, at least it is for me.

Once I hit the 10 pounds to go mark, it took forever to lose them. Try eating very lean protien (seafood, fish) and lots of veggies, instead of a whole serving of bread cut it to half. Look at where your sugar is coming from, if it is from fruit you are fine, sweets not so much. Also give your workouts a change, if you run…

I am going with moderation. I will have a little of everything that way I don't feel deprived of something good, and no going back for seconds. I will have a bit of dessert or two and then I am sure I will be stuffed.

I will be here.

I was diagnosed in 2002, I would say find a new doctor. The one you have doesn't seem to be taking care of you properly. Also get a full thyroid test run, now they are probably just checking your tsh and you need to have your T4 and T3 checked to make sure it is all working properly. Your TSH levels should be around the…

I eat fish or seafood 5 days a week. I usually eat a 4-6 ounces with lots of veggies and sometimes some bread. I haven't had any negative effects and it has been over a year now. Good luck!!

When I can I prefer running outside, I just make sure it isn't raining when I do.
