My only thought is more fresh fruits and veggies and watch the prepackaged stuff. Good job on calories!

the fiber looks great, proves you are getting the good carbs and not the bad ones. being over on protein is fine since MFP sets it too low in my opinion (and most people's). Watch the fats. They're set pretty high and you went over too. I say change the fat percentage lower and add that percentage to the protein till you end up with just over 100g of protein and less than 50 on the fats, then change the cholesterol to sodium. Dietary cholesterol does NOT equal "high cholesterol" medically, they are separate and its almost pointless to track unless your doctor told you to for some reason. sodium is more important to track because high sodium can cause you to retain water and mask any loss on the scale. Drink your water daily and stay under 2500mg sodium.

It's hard to see a trend since you've only been tracking 2 days, but that's what I see for now. If you'd like to add me I'm more than happy to assist ongoing!:flowerforyou:
  • You need to be sure to eat back your exercise calories! I know it sounds counter-productive but you truly need to eat those calories. When you are exercising hard your body needs fuel . If you don't eat your calories, your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything.

Agree with both previous people - because of all the packaged foods, I'd definitely be tracking sodium.....

The only thing I would say is to watch your sodium levels. Good luck to you!

    Try some of these changes:

    Low fat ranch dressing
Whole grain (not just whole wheat) bread
    Low fat mayo
add more fresh fruits and veggies
    Get the leaner ground beef
Add leaner meats--chicken breast, turkey, etc

Hope this helps. Little changes = big results

Welcome and I agree with everyone else about sodium. Good job for your first few days. I like to add notes to the exercise section in how I am feeling or what my heart rate monitor totals are after I exercise. If you can afford a heart rate monitor that lets you input your age and weight then you get a slightly more accurate numbers.

I agree...ditch the full-fat mayo and dressings. Look back and see how many calories and grams of fat are in them. I use low-fat Hellmans. It tastes more like real mayo than light. Good luck!
  • To me some of your meals are too many calories at once. Break up your meals and eat every 2-3 hours. I have two breakfasts, one right when I wake up at 7:30am with about 250 calories and one at 10:00am with about 200 calories. Then I eat lunch at 1:00pm with 300-400 calories. For instance, your lunch seems big so you can eat your soup on its own late afternoon. If you eat meals that are 300-400 calories and snacks that are 150-200 calories, you teach your body to be satisfied with normal sized meals. And your pancreas doesn t have to shoot out too much insulin at once. Heard this from a dietician.

If the majority of your calories are processed/packaged, it won't matter that you stick to your daily limit -- you won't see the best results. Stick to the outside perimeter of your grocery store and don't buy stuff that comes in a box (like Hamburger Helper). Processed food (i.e. American Cheese -- which is NOT even cheese, by the way) is chalk-full of preservatives, colorings, and chemicals that are designed to try and make DEAD food look and taste like fresh food. The reality is, half that stuff isn't even recognized as food by your body -- it's seen as an enemy because it's literally poisoning you!

My suggestion would be to look up "clean eating" (google it) and find meals/snacks that follow the guidelines of this popular lifestyle. It will not only be your ticket to losing the extra weight but it will transform your way of eating, making this a LIFESTYLE and not a DIET. That is when you'll not only see the scale drop but you'll feel energized, have better skin/hair, healthier organs, the list goes ON and ON! :)

    Good luck!
