extra crunchy peanut butter. Too dangerous to have in the house.

Thanks guys, I've started doing some light training ( first time in a very long time) and I'm going to aim for 185 and see how I feel at that weight. (can't imagine 175 so I'd be interested to see how you get on Danny)

Thanks for the friend requests. Got quite a few which is nice, but also brings so much pressure. Better get my act together now people are keeping an eye on me............ :D

another beautiful, frosty morning

I used to live there, long way from home now.

Hi Fred Early 50s here and looking for some friends to keep me on the straight and narrow and occasionally kick me if I need it.

I would have to say I probably don't really have a weightloss buddy. My wife is quite supportive, in as much as she likes the idea of me losing weight, but she does complain a bit about me always wanting to weigh our ingredients and know what's in the food. She also loves to bake and doesn't seem to understand how…

Daniel, I used this https://support.garmin.com/support/sw/escalateForm And I've just sent another one off - stupid Vivoactive wiped itself last night, removing nearly 21000 steps and now won't sync and thinks it is the 17 August, no matter how many factory resets I do to it.

10.00 am = 850 steps. By 10.00PM, it will be around my usual average of 16 000

I'm a lightweight (only when it comes to drinking, unfortunately) so 8 beers would see me on the floor. I don't find it easy to drink 8 cups of just water a day, but as long as I can add some kind of flavour to it, I usually manage.

beautiful fresh morning

Mine did the same for a while and in the end I logged it as a complaint with Garmin. A couple of days later, it was fixed and working. It's be fine for ages but yesterday, it gave me an extra 1164 calories as a reward for my exercises/steps. That seems very generous :D

I just found you guys and haven't got into a GoaD rhythm yet. But from what I'm reading, it seems likely I'll be doing my best to become part of the group. I do log onto mfp every day as I use it to track my food and exercise.

Thanks, and that's a good thought to carry about about, not always easy to walk away from bakery stuff as it is my main weakness. But yeah, the bit I bolded, is what I reckon I need and welcome. I find it too easy to wobble and my wife, although she likes the idea of me losing weight, isn't so keen on the restrictions…

1) Yes 2) First thing every morning (well, second thing usually) 3) Because if the numbers go up, the little white lies I told myself about that extra spoonful of PB "not really counting" are proved untrue and I need to stop kidding myself.

Not a WW evacuee, I've been on mfp for about 4 years, lost 51 pounds, gained a lot of that back and am now trying to get back to a weight I probably haven't seen in 30 years. I detest being a diet and after 5 weeks of seriously logging (almost) everything again, I'm still at the " wandering around the kitchen, looking in…

Uggg, I hate being on a diet, I'd rather be a GONAD :)
-
Yeah, because my idea of what a tablespoon of peanut butter looked like and what is actually is - was frighteningly different !

52 here, started on mfp about 4 years ago and lost 51 pounds. And then gained most of it back. I started back here 5 weeks ago, and am definitely finding it harder to shift the weight this time around. I would certainly welcome some friends to help motivate and encourage me - I appreciate the effort from those that take…

Looking to add some friendly competition too. User name on Garmin is gealachmor. Just got my vivoactive HR a few weeks ago and would love some support and motivation.

I started last week at 253. (restarted............) I doubt I'll get anywhere near 180, at 6'2 I'm thinking anything under 195 is about as good as I'm going to get. I may have passed 180 when I was about 15 and haven't seen it since :) Also looking for people to keep me accountable and on track.
-
Looking for motivators and step chasers too. I'm getting back into MFP and using my new Vivoactive. Sent you a request on GC, Arrwa Anyone feel free to add me, (gealachmor)

Thanks for posting this and for updating it too. I've started and stalled so many times that I almost feel resigned to being this size and weight. I accept that it is 100% my fault and failing, but the older I get, the more important for my health I think it is becoming. So, this time IS the time that I stick with it and…

race you to the top................ well, stagger there in my case
