Just have fun! I have had a couple of these functions since I started my 12 Week Challenge. a Girl's Night In to raise money for breat cancer and a Halloween party. It was nice to let my hair down at these. I did make sure I got an exercise session in before them, and I watched my calorie intact during the day prior to…

Or Alphaville, depending on your vintage! lol

Hmmmm. I've been taking the protein powder after working out and I certainly don't seem to ache as much, but I hadn't put two and two together. I've lost nearly 13 kilos in 10 weeks. I'd be a bit worried that you mightn't be getting enough out of the replacement shakes if you're exercising heaps, but I'm no expert in…

Hi all. I was born in Nambour and have lived in Mount Isa (twice), Brisbane (while at uni), Ashmore on the Gold Coast and now I'm back on the Sunshine Coast.

I love logging because when I submit it at the end of the day it tells me where I might be in five weeks. I find this motivating either way; if it's good, yay for me! If it's up, time to forget about that day and get back on track. I worry about the total calories for the day, but don't obsess over every item of food. I…

All the Maths makes my head spin, but my personal trainer swears by weight training for getting rid of fat. I have a program that includes a balance of weights and cardio and this has helped me to get rid of 11kg in the last eight and a half weeks.

Give it a few days and see what happens before panicking too much. I had a similar experience last week. The scales told me I had put on nearly a kilo after a weekend where I went to a party and then a supplied lunch I had at a conference for work. I had done a bigger than normal exercise session in between, but the scales…

I log the number of minutes under cardio, "strengh training".

I have an iphone app called Target Weight. It is great. It gives you stats over a fortnightly, monthly or 3 monthly basis and figures out when you would reach your target based on those rates of weight loss. Also shows your BMI on a graph.

I can run for ages on a treadmill. Try it on the real ground and I'm like a fish out of water!

A+ can't eat pork?!!! I should be dead.

Fantastic!

I tend to work to the 1200 goal. i haven't found it necessary to eat back my exercise calories and I have been losing weight. Sometimes I eat a few of them back, but I have never eaten them all. Other people swear that you have to eat back the extra calories. I exercise six days a week which includes 2 weight sessions, one…

My lack of proof-reading before I hit "post reply" is more disturbing.

I went to a party at my neighbour's last night and have no idea how many calories I ate. But I'm about to head off to the gym on what would normally be my rest day to help minimise the impact an I am not going to beat myself up. I've had a two days like that since I've been tracking calories, and while I am disappointed…

Hmmm. A heart rate monior that doesn't actually monitor your heart rate but counts steps? I'd take it back most definitely.

How big is the scoop of protein powder? I've found that different brands vary. Sounds yummy.
-
It's so true about food. You have to keep your body nourished. Do you vary your exercise? Maybe your bosy is used to what your doing and needs a bit of a jolt. Are you doind any weight training, or just cardio?

I'm thinkink that there's probably not enough protein there and I think your brekkie might let you down. If you have something more substantial and with some protein in it it will keep you full for longer. I love watermelon, but I reckon if that was the extent of my breakfast, I'd be seeking out something naughty way…

I was invited to a "Girl's Night In" which was raising miney for Breast Cancer. I ate cheese and other naughties, but did exercise more restraint that I would have a few months back! I simply made up for it by adding an extra gym session this week and I walked to the gym as well adding an extra 4.7km to the exercise. I had…

As much as you love your sister, nothing will happen until she has that epiphany. That she asked you to burn the dvds means that she admires what you have done, even if she contradicts that in other ways. But the light bulb in her head hasn't clicked on yet. When it does, you will be there for her. It doesn't sound like…

Me too. My godson's sister tagged me in a facebook photo and that was it for me. That was 6 months and 18 kilos ago and it still spurs me on.

Cheese. Cheese. Cheese.

Have you got any multilevel carparks with fire escape stairs?

http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/dumbbellexercises.html As you have hand weights, some of the exercises on this site might help. Also bench dips. Cheers

Place in a saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium heat stirring until mixture thickens. I also sauteed some leek in a pan…
