Finding public stairs

I have decided to quit my gym membership and find free ways to workout. One thing I will miss is that stairclimber. Where should I look in my city to get in a stair workout? I was thinking a hotel, maybe? Would a hotel just let me come in with my workout gear on and have at their stairs? Any other ideas?

Have you got any multilevel carparks with fire escape stairs?0

It's a shame you dont live near me. i have a four floored building you could use. Kudos on giving up the membership. I knw a lady who is a fitness coach and she believes in finding fitness in doing exercise that fits into your lifestyle. I briefly had a gym membership but prefer not to go to one.
Could you find some stairs up to a public building, rocky style? You could do that in the evening x0 -
- Jog on the loose sand on the beach
- Sprint up a stiff hill and jog down back
Not sure if I should include squatting and deadlifts as well, but you can do them at home as well.0 -
The mall near me has stairs in addition to elevators. That's a safe, warm place to get your stairs in. Just make sure you go do stairs somewhere SAFE! Stairs can be sketchy. I live in a high rise building and "do stairs" when the elevator is out haha.0

ha! the beach! as if that's a possibility!
i have a question about deadlifts though that you reminded me of. is it the same workout to do deadlifts with dumbbells as opposed to a bar?0 -
The mall is a good idea! The stairs at my mall are 3ft long platforms with steps at the end of each. I think there's about 20 though. The mall isn't too far from my house either, which is a bonus. Thanks.0

I'm still too self conscious about working out outside! I will do that in about 40lbs. Lol
My gym was going to cost me $456 a year! That is bonkers! Especially when it averaged to me using it about 15 days a month. Since I've quit the gym, I am working out in the evenings at my leisure. When I was using the gym, if I didn't work out in the morning, I didn't want to be bothered with the masses hogging up the ellipticals so I just wouldn't go. My son is apart of my workouts and he is so encouraging. I love working out at home.0
