  • Sunday meal prep for the week. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks. I can't stay committed otherwise. Too much work and other outside distractions keeping me from my goal NOT to food prep. I've gotten it down to a science and can get the week done in about an hour and half. Good luck!
  • Isn't it funny how wadded up we all get about 'weight' when its like THE WORST way to judge fat loss? I mean I totally do it too. I just find our shared human nature a funny thing!
  • My faves are Cellucor (PB marshmallow, smores, cinnamon swirl and mint choc chip are delicious) and Optimum Nutrition (Moch Cappucino is yummy).
  • I make an egg beater casserole on Sundays and eat for breakfast everyday throughout the week. 2 cups egg whites or egg beaters (I prefer egg beaters) 8 slices Nature's own honey wheat bread (40 calories a slice) 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk 2 cups turkey sausage crumbles (jimmy dean) 2 cups part skim shredded colby (80…
  • I have a Mio, bought one of the first ones out. I think its great but its not suitable for certain types of exercises. Anything that requires on ton of movement (specifically twisting in the wrist area) causes the HRM to lose your heart rate and it takes about 20-30 seconds after you stop that twisting type movement to…
  • My pet peeve is when people ask what my routine is (diet & exercise) and when I tell them, they respond with all the things they "can't" do.... (e.g. I can't get up early to workout or I can't just eat lean proteins and veggies") I try to correct them to tell them to use 'won't' instead of 'can't', as they are FULLY…
  • Why focus on your physical weight when you have proof you're overall size is diminishing. Measuring your progress based on your weight is antiquated. Get your trainer to start taking body fat measurements with calipers (any trainer worth their stars will know how to do this). Measure every 2 weeks and toss the scale…
  • Donuts are my single greatest weakness (although spaghetti with meat sauce is close second). I just repeat in my head... You are better than this You do not need to eat that You are a bad *kitten* Walk away, just walk away
  • Consider the Mio Alpha. Its a strapless heart rate monitor. I've tested it multiple times wearing it with my old HRM (with a strap) and its very accurate. I haven't used it in the water but it says you can. Price is around $199 but worth every penny. Its bluetooth enabled and my favorite feature is that you can set your…
