  • My boyfriend is doing this with me, and he's retired Army and HE was dying lol! We both said there should have been an intermediate level between 1 and 2, like 1.5 ;) It really is a big jump and we were both feeling pretty confident with level 1.
  • Good luck with your journey and best wishes for you, Fay! I have several of her other DVDs (30 Day Shred, Trouble Zones, etc.), but have NEVER struggled with a workout like I have this level 2 ab workout... sheesh, it makes me feel like such a weakling, lol :) Search My Fitness Pal for Jillian and I remember someone…
  • Hi, I'm still on the fence about this program, although overall I'd say it was a good purchase for me... I've never done much Pilates or yoga, so I think it is good for me to get to know these moves and improve my flexibility/core strength. With that said, the calorie burn isn't enough (so far) for me to see this being a…
  • The Buns workout is my favorite so far, but I barely did it... I spent most of the time looking to see what she was doing, lol, and I was already sore today from the 2nd level of Jillian's ab workout I just started. Looking forward to the next time, though, as I really liked the moves on this one :)
  • Exactly. Also, olive tapenade.
  • Wow, that is fantastic! My HRM for upper body today only said 44 cals
  • Good for you with the nutrition! I've realized over the past 3 weeks, I am averaging 5 'on track' days and 2 'off the grid' days, lol. Hopefully, I can reduce the binge days and start to see some results on the scale.
  • LOL, have had all those thoughts at one time or another ;)
  • My local Kroger and Publix both carry PB2; I just bought the chocolate one yesterday :) There is a whole forum for recipes (under Message Boards) or you can search by name... I like using it for pb&j sandwiches and on pancakes the best. I've also stirred it into yogurt :)
  • Do you have any farmer's markets around you? That has been such a blessing to me, to have one near! It REALLY saves me money on 'healthy' foods :) Also, the pick-your-own farms are booming around here right now and I got a huge thing of blueberries (a gallon bag stuffed) for about $6.00... I'm using them in everything now.…
  • I just did "Core" and it was a tough one! Unfortunately, my HRM isn't working, so not sure what I burned, but it definitely showed me I have lots of room to grow in balance and core strength :)
  • Awww, I'm sorry it didn't work out for ya! I WISH there were some foods I found 'uck', lol... I truly eat everything, sheesh. Except flour tortillas, for some reason those gross me out. I was just fantasizing about liver last night, haha!
  • I've been eating PB2 once or twice a day lately, just had it on a banana and pb sandwich... love it on pancakes! The first time I tried the stuff a few years ago, I couldn't take it, but now I'm liking it, thank goodness (45 calories is way easier to fit in than 200!)
  • Good to know! I'm determined to do the full 60 days and look forward to see what changes I notice :)
  • Hi and welcome! I work out at home, also, mostly because the traffic is so bad in this town I can't stand to drive to the gyms lol :) Sending you a friend request!
  • Thanks so much for the adds! Looking forward to 'losing' with y'all :)
  • Lose perfectionism and strive for personal best instead :)
  • I looked ahead, too, and saw the 'new' thing on Wednesday (Core) :) I'm cranking it out every day, but so far the only time I really feel like it is a workout is 'Sweat'... I see it progresses, though. I AM noticing my wrist/ankle strength (flexibility?) improving! She says at the end of lower body, "Ok, let's move into…
  • Welcome! I just added you :)
  • Definitely trying this one!
  • I added the folks that posted requests and accepted those who sent FR... I appreciate y'all! About to go run now ...well, MY version of it, I'm on week 3/day 1 of C25K and at my fastest parts only go 5 mph ;) Hope all of you are meeting YOUR goals today, too :) Angela
  • Someone, maybe you, Jen? just sent me a FR and I happily clicked 'add' before realizing there was a message attached lol... so, whatever was written, I missed :( But, happy for the addition! REALLY leaving for work now ;)
  • Great! Looking forward to seeing y'all and what progress we all can make :)
  • Thank you! We will help each other :)
  • CHEESE, cheese, and cheese... Going into Whole Foods, Fresh Market, or Trader Joe's is like entering the Disneyland of cheeses. I cannot leave without a hunk of something awesome (which I generally eat in the car on the way home, ugh!). Right now, I do have some that made it home and I've been eating ONE serving a day with…
  • Yes, I did take the whole dosage the whole time... it 'kicked in' about day 3 and I lost about 5 lbs by the end of the second week. Over the next few weeks, the binge episodes came back and by the end of the second month I had gained back all I had lost :(
  • I bought a Jawbone UP24 and sent it right back because it did NOT give me an accurate calorie burn during exercise...I bought a Polar FT60 and it is doing exactly what I want it to do (accurately record workout calories burned). If I fall into some extra money, I may go back to an activity tracker, but would probably go…
  • Another thing I eat a lot of that would be vegetarian: bean tacos The ready-made shells are usually about two for 100 calories, 1/2 cup flavored beans about 100 calories, then you could even add avocado/cilantro/etc and be in your range. Finally, when all else fails, a pumpkin pie smoothie is good :) I just use 1/2 cup…
  • I'm not vegetarian and I'm not doing the 5:2, lol BUT I've been eating a lot of polenta w/ homemade marinara and it is super low calorie. I have added kale, etc. to it, too, but it's very filling for few calories :)
