I'm the opposite. In summer, I can get out for a walk before it gets too hot, and delicious fresh fruits & veg are in season & cheap. In winter, I do more baking, tend to eat more starchy foods, and have a hard time getting out for walks because the ground can be icy & treacherous! I started this round of healthier living…

I haven't lost 100 pounds yet, but I'm on my way! Feb 14.4 March 14.0 April 10.2 May 17.2 June 15.2 July7.9 I didn't do great with my eating & exercise in July, but I'm back on track now, and hoping to get another 10 pounds gone this month, and keep to that for a few more months. I anticipate I'll slow down after that.

Today's veg for me: 100g strawberries, a tomato, a cucumber, 1/4 of a red onion, half a cup of peas, 1/4 of a red pepper, and 2 scallions--I forgot about the pineapple until after I'd started eating. I figure that's about 6 servings all together.

Another issue I've experienced with goals is "what do you do once you hit your goal weight?" For me, the answer has been, "get bored, start eating stupidly again, and gain it all back." Yeah, I need to have other goals besides weigh related ones.

Goals can be results driven or behavior driven. For example, my next results mini goal is to have lost 25% of my original body weight. At one time, I thought I'd be able to achieve this by this week, but now I see that it won't be for a few more weeks at least. My behavior driven goals are more immediate & manageable. To…

I sometimes have trouble hitting the magic 1200. When there are lots of fruits & veg in the day, they don't add up very fast. If I need a boost, it's usually yogurt & fruit, almonds, a hard boiled egg, string cheese. Making sure I hit my protein goal is something I keep in mind.

I used to be very guilty of this. The way I'm working to overcome it is that eating it myself when it don't need it is the same as throwing it away,, and I am not a trash can. My worst habit? Eating when I'm stressed out or frustrated.

75 gone so far for me. I started by doing it on my own, then started here in the late spring. I lost about 40 pounds before I joined, and 35 since. You don't need anything else--just use MFP!

I like my current job (German tutor), but I wish my classes were more steady. I'm starting to think about how I could teach healthier cooking classes, because I would love that.

I did manage to get out this morning and get my walk in, though I put it off for so long that I almost didn't have time. . On a scale of 1 - 10, how pitiful is it that I want to add my kids' VBS music to my iPod for when I walk? That music is jammin'! :laugh: How's everyone else doing?

I have a Wii Fit Plus, and really like it. Mostly I use it for Basic Step, which I do while I'm watching cooking shows. :drinker: I'd really like to get Zumba for the Wii, because I've heard so much good stuff about it.
