  • Love this advice... so instead of restating I'll just quote! Rest your body, and sleep enough!!
  • Thanks for sharing!! You look AMAZING!
  • Wow -- i love it!! We are going to sooooo succeed! I already see myself NOT making excuses.. in fact I was going to do my push ups ... tomorrow, but now.. I will do them today BEFORE i go to bed! Thanks group -- No More Excuses! Oh and Amanda -- awesome! Thanks for keeping us honest!
  • Okay here is the weight but I figured I'd put out there what I measure so I can always see where I am succeeding (Okay or faulting!). Thank you Amanda! SW : 170.0 CW: 162.0 GW: 148.0 Hips 41 Natural Waist 31 Military Waist 33.5 Left Leg 22.0 Right Leg 22.5 Arms sometimes but not today. Anyway, I find if you track…
  • Glad to see you asked for help, why is it we can help others but not ourselves? Don't feel bad for asking for what you need. I wish I could come over and bring a bag of groceries with me!! I can't stand the idea of hunger. God bless you and take care of yourself. Maybe a new job is what is truly needed??
  • bumping for the main content ...
  • Oh and how much a week are you trying to lose?
  • How tall are you?? I think it may be the right mix of carbs/proteins etc that could be the problem. I know for me, I love the carbs but I have to decrease them and increase more dense, protein type foods to lose weight. It isn't just the amt of what you eat but what you are eat... Hope that helps, I would be frustrated too.
  • Okay... so you're working hard and not seeing the results -- get it! I have done that myself... a couple of times. Have you done your tape measurements because you're probably losing fat but not really seeing a change. Also, if you were terribly under your calorie intake you're going to gain for a bit before your body…
  • Hi -- good luck and you can do this, of course you know that! You have! I am in the same boat so let's make it melt and stay off this time!
  • Just to give you a push -- I started witht the program and I have now run two half-marathons (not all the time) and have long run days and short days... it feels wonderful to run after you get past the first few weeks. Not to say you won't have bad days and good days but, it is a personal challenge you can always restart,…
  • We could do a "weigh" in on Sunday and start the 1% challenge there! We can also do fitness challenges like 20 push ups for three out of 7 days... or something of that nature. What does everyone think?
  • I think this is the spot for me! I need to lose some weight to get where I need to go.. I am sitting at 164 ish and want to be at 154 no kidding in 8 weeks... I also need to lose about 2 inches on my waist and on my hips.. so 4 inches. I am all for whatever challenges we can come up with to encourage us all to lose the…
  • To answer your question -- YES!! I also hated running but now I feel off without running during the week. It burns calories, is a great stress reliever and amazing you will find yourself thinking out your problems during your run and at the end you have exercised and found your answer (assuming you have probs that creep up…
  • :noway: Well it has been a while since I posted but I managed almost 4 today been a little under the weather so my lungs are not at their optimum but will manage!! I wanna do a turkey trot  Maybe next year we'll have somehting for that .. oh well!! Happy Halloween!!
  • I think you should take it back to her and share a small slice then tell her thank you sooo very much but you are on a diet and a whole berry pie would be too self-indulgent and would she mind if you shared with your co-workers. If she is understanding she will understand that you would LOVE to have it but you just can't…
  • So is beer... yum!! Yesterday was 4 miles and today is a cross-training day! Good luck everyone.
  • Yeah -- for my sake!!
  • Umm... have the pizza already!! JUST ONE>. not TWO or three!! and drink some water! You'll be fine!
  • I am with you on this.... the wagon dropped me off at the airport when I got home and I see it circling the house and hop on every other day but .. you know it's realistic, I think, to ebb and peak at times. I am enjoying my family and my every day life.. but still run my training days but my off day (used to be spin…
  • CONGRATS!!!!!!!1 Vegas better look out!!
  • I am so sorry this happened.. and I second the thought: this is the last time it will happen you are doing so well.. and I think your posts of frustration have dwindled so... maybe this lifestyle is taking place and these small changes are what push us forward when the demands on us become great. You're doing wonderful --…
  • Simon, Curious on your progress -- bump!! Some thoughts: Many times we don't eat enough or we overcompensate for our PT... you prob fit in one of those categories. Also, google portion distortion (I know the classes teach you portions but, really check your eyeballs). What I do is pour what I think 4 oz, 1 cup of broth,…
  • I would go for a cat... sorry but it is cliche for a reason... it works. And having a pet to go home to might help you cut some of those longer days....
  • Honestly -- I think it is an approach at setting a more realistic goal rather than your "ideal" goal that you come up with from when you were 18 or your thinnest.. etc. For me I was 128 during college and I can't imagine being that size again -- I was tooooo skinny for me. My "happy weight" is 153 and that is roughly where…
  • Becareful not to overheat but WTG on the hike and here's too many more!!:drinker:
  • 4 miles in today.. not too shabby. I know, late for posting, but if anyone reads this: Strawberry good luck on your recovery and don't pop too many of those happy pills!! Take care of your bodies ladies -- seems a few injuries too many lately. :ohwell: and Feel Better!! :flowerforyou:
  • I thought that was interesting as well.. my biggest issue -- I sometimes workout to eat more on days when I should just focus on training and exercising.. :grumble:
  • Well.. unsure if I am going to run today -- we'll see. May be a rest day after doing a little speedwork. Have a great day!:drinker:
  • Tweety -- awesome work!! Bunnyr -- WTG!! Sherry -- your perception is usually spot on -- if you feel it was vigorous then it was, if you feel it was moderate -- that is where it probably is. Make sense? Ran about 1 mile, then 1 mile of interval work with the hubby -- raining today and sort of a bad day. Oh well.. tomorrow…
