  • Crepes - great job with the discipline and avoiding the binge! WillLift - Hope you enjoyed your yoga. Becca - It takes strength to pass up ice cream! Rachel - Will pray for upcoming surgery. Today - I hit 20% for fats. I had to eat 4 eggs and take Omega-3 supplements, but I got there :)

  • To be honest - I am not hitting my daily fat requirements. Its very difficult for me to allow any fats in my diet. But tonight, after my run, I mixed 1 large egg with a scoop of protein powder and microwaved it for 90 seconds. That gave my body some additional fats (22 grams for the day). Well under 20% which is my target,…

  • I lost over 100 and fell into simiilar circumstances. Developed eating disorder. My recommendation: stop weighing daily if you are, increase your calories. And if you continue feeling the need to lose, seek help as soon as possible. I waited too long. BTW, I met with therapist, nutritionist, and also my doctor. All 3 have…
  • I am at my weakest when I wake up in the middle of the night to use restroom. That is when many of my binges have happened. And I'm not talking about a quick snack... I mean a mindless binge that qualifies under medical definition of a binge.

  • 1. Go back to work today. I've been off on medical for a month for bulimia treatment! 2. Got up last night hungry. Remember most binges happen at night. I had about 150 calorie snack, and went back to bed!

  • Thank You! I am so happy. Even got in a 13 mile jog today.
  • 1. 3 nights in a row, I avoided a night-time binge with cereal. 2. Yesterday was a family day, and when I ate out - I chose healthy options. 3. And I weighed myself (1st time in over 3 weeks) - my weight is back up to where it should be, maybe a pound higher than I want. But I am back up to 138 (BMI of 21.1) and I am not…

  • No binge last night!
  • Went to bed hungry, and got up for a 5 am cereal binge. That is 4 binges this month in the middle of the night, all involving cereal (oatmeal and grape nuts) and granola bars (oats and honey). Clearly, I have a cycle going on here. Good news is I can identify it. Bad news is that my willpower sucks in the middle of the…
  • The reason its suggested is because there is a cycle that involves self-esteem, and emphasis in body image to binging, eating disorders, restricting and purging. I'm sure you are aware of that since you are in treatment. Its probably not the first thing people suggest, but your posts and profile description suggests that…
  • Have you sought out counseling? You might benefit from it. It sounds like you have a couple things going on, and you might want to seek out some help. Prayers go out to you!
  • My therapist did suggest I quit counting calories and weighing myself - it leads to obsession / preoccupation with food which can lead to binges. However, because my diet was harmful and limited fats and proteins, my dietitian wants me to log foods to ensure I am getting enough proteins and fats. Conflicting I know.
  • Technically speaking "Binge-eating disorder is an eating disorder in which you frequently consume unusually large amounts of food. " I dont think a couple cokes qualifies, but good luck.
