Even better... this morning; 196.4... Officially no longer in the "obese" zone for my bmi. WOOOT! I re-weighed 4 times lol... and even got a lil misty-eyed. :) Still chugging along... in it for 164... anything after that is just extra awesomeness. Thanks guys; the encouragement is really uplifting. <3

Honorary samurai as well ;) (Hashimoto's) I've been diagnosed about 6 months; currently on .125 mg of levothyroxine; seems to be a good dose for me. I feel better on the higher end of the spectrum. I've always been a little on the heavy side (average of 170-190) At 5'8" everyone always said I carried the weight well..…

This. So needed this.

Gah... I'm always astonished at how people can be so hurtful. In college I had a group of "cute guys" holler something at me about thunder thighs. I cried for days. Thankfully, I know the truth about myself and I now have a husband who happens to love my thick bottom half ;) You keep doing what you are doing; but do it for…

This. This makes so much sense.

I'm hypo also (recently diagnosed), this is such good news!! <3 Can you all share what your caloric intake looks like? I feel like I'm starving/craving crap alllll the time. Still adjusting dosage on levothyroxine though.. maybe that's part of it??

Thank you so much! It feels good to hear an "atta girl" from someone :) And, that's a cool thing to keep in mind; I didn't know that!

I realize that in the whole picture this may not be much to some folks, but its a big deal to me. :) Its a sign to me that not only is my physical body changing, but my habits and emotional responses are improving. Feeling proud of myself. <3

"You DO have those big-*kitten* thick thighs" -my sister "Oink, oink" -step dad "Lazy, fat ****." (I'm a mom of three and my husband is deployed... yeah, I have time to be real lazy)

Great job!

My hubby is a contractor; he has been gone 9months, is home for r&r now and is going back for another 6-12 months in about a week. I have three kiddos (7,5 and 1) and my goal is to be within a healthy bmi range... that means anywhere from 40-60lbs. My ultimate goal is 135, but at 5'8" I'll settle for 160. (the higher end…

OMG guys! Tell me how you eat/how you workout!! Please! I just went to my gym to meet with a trainer.. he wanted to put me on a "fitness model" training program.. and gave me a super strict diet..I came back to MFP and tallied up the calories... 800. Total. NOT net... I'm a girl who likes to eat. But, how the h-e-double…

Beachbody's "Brazilian Butt Lift" program is amazing and has a phenomenal ab/core routine. Go to their website and look a the before/after pics of some of the ladies... you can see a difference in that area. He calls it his "tummy tuck" routine if that tells you anything :)

You just motivated the crap outta me. Good job!!! I can only imagine the lengths of self-control you've grown in! My highest so far (after baby #3) at 5'8" was 225. I'm now at 196 and inching daily towards my goal of 135. I keep being told I can't do it/its too hard/too low of a goal, and you just re-inspired me to keep…

Well done!! I pray you are blessed and favored in you new life, keep up the great work!!!

It was different for me after realizing that every time I eventually drifted back to eating whatever I wanted, the weight came back. (surprise!) I finally came to grips that I was the only one who could make this change; and I had to decide whether or not I REALLY wanted it. If I did, then it was immature for me to keep…

YES! Best explanation I've heard so far.

Level 3, day 10. (DAY 30!) FINISHED!!!! Way to go everyone!!! Like some others, this is the first time I've ever totally stuck to a workout plan and completed it. Feeling so proud, motivated and hugely confident in what I can accomlish with some determination! Well done shredders! :flowerforyou:
