  • If it's a small overage, I just give myself a pep talk and move on. If it's a large one I do try to make up for it, but subtly. Meaning, if I went over 300 cals, I don't just cut 300 cals from the next day. I'll add a little on to my cardio each day, or cut out a treat I had planned later in the week, something like that.…
  • I'm sure it is uncomfortable, inconvenient, in the way, and a general pain in the *kitten*. But it's not a real health problem. It's not going to kill you. And it's totally absurd to expect me or anyone else to pay for it for you. I have actually caught my stomach in a zipper before. I also have bad acne and a chipped…
  • Not to hijack a post...but.....SERIOUSLY! You think the government should use our tax money to pay for cosmetic surgery? When there are so many people that don't even have access to basic healthcare services, enough food, clothing, a decent place to live? That is the most selfish ridiculous thing I have ever heard. In…
  • When I start to feel like I'm spinning my wheels, I like to just take a step back. For a couple days I will stop counting my calories and walk away from the treadmill. That doesn't mean I let my diet go to pieces and lay around on the couch. I continue to choose healthy foods, but I lay off the numbers. I also continue to…
  • I don't do anything nearly as systematic...I have a hard enough time with energy levels on 1200 calorie days, I doubt I could bring myself to do much more than get out of bed on 1000. When I have a particularly bad day, weekend or otherwise I do try to make some adjustments however. If I was only a little over my goal, I…
  • I see what you are saying. And have wondered the the best way to approach this myself. Ultimately what I ended up doing is, I change my activitiy level in my profile almost daily depending on what that day is going to look like. That makes looking back through and finding patterns damn near impossible. But as far as day to…
  • Clothing sizes are totally arbitrary. For starters they vary greatly from store to store. I can wear an 8 now some places...other places I can barely squeeze into a 14. There are better options to measure. The easiest is obviously weight, but the number that looks and feels best can also be highly personal. BMI is another…
  • My husband is very supportive, however sometimes he does kind of undermine my efforts without meaning to. My biggest weakness is sweets. When we were dating he would surprise me with a box of raisinets or we would curl up on the couch together and share some ice cream. It was sweet. But now I have asked him to stop doing…
