Thanks guys!!

Feel free to add me - I am a working mom of 2. I find that the only way it works for me is to plan ahead! Stick to what is scheduled on the calendar (I schedule the workouts on the calendar).

When I quit I used sunflower seeds as my distraction. I put the seed in the kernel in my mouth, bit it and removed the kernel from my mouth with my fingers instead of spitting them. I know that some people may be grossed out by fingers in/near the mouth but the whole hand to mouth thing seemed to be replace cigarette to…

I think that sometimes taking a week to log the food that you normally eat goes a long way to seeing what you need to fix. So take these first couple days as an eye opener and make a game plan. The weight loss thing requires a ton of planning. I will not call it a sacrifice because as soon as I realized that i was…

I started crossfit about 6/7 weeks ago. I love it. For now I am going twice a week but hope to increase that once I wrap up with my trainer.

Thanks everyone! I know they won't make me stronger for the upper body exercises but I seem to have delicate (haha) hands...so I was hoping I may last a little longer on the monkey bars (etc) if I had something to help them out. I usually get off the monkey bars not because my body is done but because my hands are burning.…

That is awesome! I can't wait to see that day...

I am also training for the tough mudder in the Mid Atlantic in September. Some days I think I am crazy. I am doing this as a means of celebrating reaching my goal (instead of throwing a party with lots of bad food or something) - which I hope to actually reach by then. This is a test that will show me how far I have come!…

The morning I leave for work (I leave at 5 AM so it has to be fast) - I toast some bread, make a scrambled egg add cheese and some deli meat and have a sandwich or I do 2 eggs and skip the meat. On days I am home - but still want it fast - I saute some spinach add diced fresh tomato - throw in two eggs and scramble it up.…

Initially I wanted to lose weight and get healthy so that I could do anything I wanted with the kids and my husband. Now I am motivated by two things. 1. I just want to finish what I started. I am active now and can pretty much do anything, but I am not done. I want to feel good about where I am at. 2. I am motivated to…

Chesapeake Bagel Bakery when I was in high school. I eventually met my husband there...and now that I think of it, it's the only job I held before stepping into my career! We had to wear these hideous shirts that had the Washington monument with a bagel on/around it!

I go between homemade egg mcmuffins and an english muffin with a laughing cow cheese, 2 slices of tomato and about a quarter of an avocado. Delicious!

Thanks everyone! When I was working out with the trainer I definitely saw the most changes in my body shape. I just don't know if it was our style of working out or if it was all the dropped weight! I guess I just need to decide what is going to be best for me this go around. I know what is easier on the wallet....but…

I want to have a party! My husband often asks "Are you going to celebrate with food?" I don't know - but I just want to have a party or go on a cruise! My motivations right now is the Hawaii body I am working on for my Christmas trip this year :-)

Glad you posted this, I have been asking myself the same thing. I usually try to burn 450 - 900 calories 5 days a week. I find it next to impossible to eat all those back in healthy foods. So I usually have some milk or a protein shake to add some of them back in. But, I haven't really been losing like I want to either so…

Working mom - though lucky enough to work 27 hours over 3 days. I have an very supportive husband so it really helps me have NO excuses when it comes to working out!

There are tons of $2 recipes online. I know here in the DC area we can buy noodles for $1 and spaghetti sauce for $1 and a can of beans (or dry beans) for a dollar or less. Throw in some spinach - walla dinner for $4 or $5 with enough left overs to feed you a few meals. I actually make this all the time with diced tomatoes…

Just simply - "Oh, Hell, Yeah....I did it!"

Congratulations to you! That is the #1 reward for sure! Many blessings to you and your husband!

I usually like one graham cracker (4 squares) with a little peanut butter and a little jelly... you could satisfy the chocolate by using nutella instead of peanut butter and skipping the jelly.

Is there a link to a group or is it done here on the thread?

I'd like to join - always looking to try something new!
