  • For me, not buying it helps A LOT! Out of sight, out of mind. I do occassionally cave in and buy a small snack sized pouch of chips. Chips and anything crispy and salty is the bane of my existence and I just can't resist.
  • I have bananas often. I've heard they can be high in sugar so they might be a problem for the diabetic. I also think there are quite a bit of carbs in them but I factor that into my eating. The high K apparently helps monitor blood pressure because of the Na/K pumps that work on the cellular level...again, stuff I heard a…
  • I was also too self-concious to go clothes shopping and it was a chore to me. I never strolled into anything else than the same three stores for clothing. Since I've been starting to loose weight, I found myself a bit more confident and and actually going into stores with better looking clothes that I never though I'd fit…
  • That would be a milestone for me...to loose the tummy I mean
  • wow thanks for all the replies! I have the same problem. Shirts that fit my chest are too loose for the rest of my body. The problem is more prominent when I wear t shirts, so now I almost exclusively wear button up shirts.

At college, I can choose when to eat, what to eat, and how much to eat. I don't have a problem with wrapping up even half a slice…

  • I'm in college as well, so i definitely can relate to the need for budget meals. Some of my go to budget meals: 1. Warm pasta salad with spicy sausage, kale, and chickpea (great heated up as leftovers). I think I first heard of it looking online, probably from someone like Martha Stewart. 2. Chickpea salad sandwiches. Mash…
  • I do a similar Greek pasta salad with orzo, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, onion, and marinated artichoke hearts. Another one I like a lot is orzo with bocchini (or mozzarella), tomato, and basil.
  • From personal experience (I used to have two boiled eggs every morning): 1. older the egg, the easier to peel. 2. adding baking soda to the water makes peeling much easier. 3. crack the egg then soaking it in cold water to cool it down before peeling also works (I usually do this in conjunction with the baking soda).
