Joined in 2010 logged religiously and lost 70 lbs, I stopped at the end of 2011 logging most of my stuff, and have gone back up 8 to 10lbs every year. I am back now that i have 40 of those 70 back. I am ready to focus again. I felt sooo much better when i was accountable.

I am not upset in anyway I just want to be as accurate as possible with my foods. I know it sounds a little loco but that is part of my charm  I have found that weighing them ( solid foods) is alot better than measuring them by volume.

There is a website that I input my ingredients and then is gives me the nutritional values for everything combined and you can tell it how many serving as well. it helps if you don't want to input each item here for a recipe that you make often. I then add that recipe with my name as the brand. It is a little tedious at…

You ruined nothing cause tomorrow is another day! Everyone has set backs and today was yours. If you fall and never get up you will never move on. Funny thing I went over my calories today to for the first time in 3.5 months. Tomorrow will be better for us both.

This was my week I usually spend 8-10 days when I don't lose anything, so my next weigh in is very possible that I will be the same. I have noticed a very definite pattern to my weight loss. I lose between 4 to 7 lbs in like 3-5 days and then nothing for 8 to 10 . Then it repeats ( this has happened 3 times). This has been…

Doritos for me is like a alcohol for an alcoholic. I won't do it and I can't do it. I totally agree to cut it out all together!! Special K has crackers that you can package yourself ( get little sandwich bags and you can put 17 crackers in each bag cheaper than buying 100 cal. packs. ) The Special K crackers are…

I have had this same issue alot. I have read in various places that the elliptical tend to overstate calorie burn anywhere from 15 to 30 % . So I bought a heart rate monitor. Same thing I think it overstates. The best thing I have found and the one I have opted for is to make sure you watch your heart rate the whole time…

I found a website that I think does a better calculation of calories burned. I just don't believe (even if I feel like I am dying when I finish the elliptical) that I have burned that much. I am not sure if anyone else has these same concerns, but here it is. http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm

Thank you all for your help! Slow and steady wins the race. I will continue my progress slowly and happy. I might not win the race but I will win in the end regardless. I have a lot of weight I need to lose and I do not want to sabotage my health or 2lbs a week weight loss.
