Is there still room to join? I need a good challenge to get back on tract!

I had my hysterectomy in 2004,long before I ever knew about MFP and before I ever exercised. Over the course of several years, I walked but didn't do anything else. In 2011, I started MFP and began running. I now run, elliptical, walk, zumba, etc 4-5 days a week . You will need to take 6 weeks to recover, then start out…

Fantastic!! So proud of you.... I have followed you all summer, and I know you've trained (and struggled) and trained some more... Congrats!!!

I'm going to try this, serving over spaghetti squash instead of rice. Sounds yummy!! Thanks for the idea =)

I'm 5'4" and 147... my profile pic is my latest =)

Cracker Barrel is good, and so is Marlins and Rays (owned by Ruby Tuesday). O'Charley's also has some great choices (chicken, steak, and tilapia, especially) but don't go near the prime rib pasta.....it's a calorie killer!!! Learned that one the hard way =( The best thing you can do for yourself is look it up in the…

Gotta try this =) Thanks for sharing!!!

Middle school teacher here, also in my mid-40's! I've been at this a year and can honestly say IT WORKS! As always, you will get out of it what you put into it, but the support from others is what will motivate you to keep going even on those days you get overwhelmed. Snacking ideas: laughing cow cheese wedges with celery,…

Hi, I'm Cristy!! I've started 30DS but never finished it, even though I saw inches dropping while doing it. I'm hoping to stick to it this time -- beach trip is June 9th and I really want to wear a two-piece for the first time in over 30 years..... We'll see if I have enough nerve to do it!! (My teenagers hope I chicken…

ME, ME, ME!!! I'm heading to the beach June 9th, and wanted to do the 30DS before I go -- perfect timing!!!!

Not choosing to drink is a MAJOR accomplishment!!! You should be proud -- one day at a time -- one choice at a time!! Congrats!!

Hi all! My name is Cristy, and I've been part of MFP since April 25, 2011. In that time I've lost 64 lbs and gone from a size 20/XXL to a size 8/M. My goal is within sight, so I'm not aiming at 10% --- my goal is to shed the last 5-7 lbs I need to get rid of and to tone up!! I learned last year that I do much better when I…

THANK YOU to everyone!!! I feel weird posting pictures of myself, but I know how much it inspired me in the beginning to see that it IS possible! For those who've asked: My diary is open -- feel free to look at it. I try to keep my carbs low (per my doctor's orders) at around 30-35% of my calories. I generally eat more on…

You are doing great Kassie!! Keep believing in yourself, because you are worth it!!! I know it's a tough journey sometimes, with its ups and downs, but as long as you keep focused on the ultimate destination, you will get there! I am so proud of you for working through the hard times and staying committed!! {{HUGS}}

I'm lactose intolerant , so no... I don't "forget" the milk -- I DON"T DRINK IT!!!! I also don't use ketchup or mustard. I don't put cream and sugar in my coffee. I don't add whipped cream to my Starbucks Skinny Caramel Macchiato. I don't do alot of things --- but if I do it, I log it. Don't judge when you don't know the…

bump.... sounds delicious!! And since my husband already replied to this, I have a feeling he will want me to make it =)

What works for me: 1. Log EVERYTHING!! If it goes in mouth, it goes in my diary!! This helps when I need to look back and see why something worked (or didn't) -- if I"m not honest, the only person I'm hurting is myself! 2. Water, water, water....... I drink 12-15 cups a day (5-6 water bottles plus some) 3. Move!!…

Great idea!!! Have a wonderful week of workouts!!

I'm 5'4".... I've lost over 60 pounds in less than a year (started beginning of May) and have gone from a size 20 to a size 10  Secrets? Log EVERYTHING so you know what you're eating. Drink 10-12 cups (5-6 bottles) of water everyday. Exercise 30-45 minutes 5-6 times a week. Be patient!!! The good thing about being…

1. Log everything!! If it goes in your mouth, it goes in your diary!! 2. Drink water -- I drink 10-15 cups a day (equal to 5-6 water bottles, plus a few glasses at dinner). 3. Move -- it doesn't matter what you do, just DO IT! At least 30 minutes, 5 times a week; and eat back at least some of your exercise calories -- your…

If there's a discrepancy, go with the HRM... it's using YOUR numbers, not some "program" to take an educated guess!!
-
FIrst -- YES it's worth it!! You will feel better about your progress - and look better too. Second -- one word -- GOODWILL!!!! Get rid of your old clothes and get yourself new ones at the same time!!! And all the $$ you save buying your "interim" clothes can be saved to splurge on a shopping spree for when you reach goal!

I use my inhaler before and during a run... I just can't seem to keep to a slower pace outside! I've downloaded an app to my phone to track miles, pace, etc, but it was overcast today and the GPS wouldn't work =( Thanks for all your input...... I'll keep trying!

Count me in!!!

To the OP -- occasional "spike" days won't hurt you in the long run!! Key word being occasional  They actually seem to help, as they confuse your body so it doesn't get too used to the same thing all the time. The sodium is probably more worrisome than the calorie-splurge. I feel you, though -- my favorite meal at…

I go to an Aqua Zumba class each week. We can actually end up sweating in the water if we kick it into high gear. I like it just because of the water resistance -- it forces my legs to use muscles differently than regular exercises do. And, it keeps exercise fun by changing it up every once in a while =)

FABULOUS!!! I've already been asked when we're having these again -- and I haven't even finished loading the dishwasher yet!!

Dinner tomorrow night!! Can't wait =)

Gonna try this with venison this week!
