I wear my Fitbit flex in the pool all the time. It's "water resistant". The key is to throughly dry once your out (this applies to out of the shower too. I got my flex (wristband with lights as status indicators) for $79 at Costco and it came with 4 bands. But no it doesn't track well in the pool but when I track fitness…

Gave up on my jawbone Fitbit was a rocking deal https://www.fitbit.com/user/273MB5

I've had both. For the most part they have the same features and track the same things. The biggest differences I've marked as a pro or con for each. Fitbit Pro- conveys a lot more information and syncs with a ton of apps and the data is easy to read. The new ones have a HRM built in cons- I've lost three of them while…

1. I'm Meagan. I am 25 years old and single without any children. I currently live in Allen,TX and work in downtown Dallas, TX. I recently started a new job that keeps me extremely, busy I'm gone from 6:45/7to 6:45/7 during the week and by the time I hit home I just want dinner and to go a short run or run errands before…

Cabin Fever Reliever 2015. A virtual 5K from raceyourneighbors.com I enjoyed this as I was able to do a path I was familiar with and go when ever I wanted to within a given time period (it opened today and closes the 21st). Happy runnings everyone!
-
@shanaber - the 5k was cold(low 40s) and wet raining the entire time. Plus all the jazz bands pulled out

Rhythm & Blues 5k this morning!! Right on track for 25 miles this month.

Still out of shape and still logging a day behind. Added 2.54 miles 3/7 Expecting a 3+ mile today.

Posting late 3/1 1.34 miles (I'm so out of shape)

I am so out of shape it's not funny and I have multiple 5ks coming up. So just to ease into exercise again I'm in for 25 miles. To the person who asked about the Fitbit- personally loved the idea but the things kept coming undone (three different Fitbits, different models) and getting lost, I moved to Jawbone and haven't…

I haven't seen a way to data dump directly from the website but several other members have made ways around this. I used this guys, I think there is an updated version buried in the chat but I couldn't find it when I went to find the link. I modified off of his programming to include additional details but keep his…

The only thing UP tells MFP is estimated total calorie burn and logged exercise (sync your fitness app with up and it will transfer over as well). MFP only sends calorie consumed and nutrition over to UP. I log my weight into UP, MFP, Mapmyfitness/Runkeeper (just switched to Mapmyfitness from runkeeper) all seperately as…

Wow!!!! You look amazing!

Very confused on which week it is. To my understanding it is still week 8 as week 9 starts on nov 14. Could the confusion be why people have posting?
-
I have to admit that I've gotten very lost on the which week is which as well. I finally started to just track on the day that is written on the chart and on my actual weigh in date. I wish the date range was on each thread instead of someone saying it's week x while the previous week is still not finished.

I am in!

This month has been a disaster weight wise to the point that this is the third week I've avoided updating this immediately post weigh in (Weigh in days are Wednesday). I'm really hoping that it's it a combination of water weight from the time of the month and from how much I've been increasing my exercise. Week 7 shall…

it's funny, I'm just now logging last weeks weight and this weeks weight is already due. So one bad week after another, which has led to a combination of incomplete tracking, eating out, and eating junk has lead to weight gain. What's worse is the downward spiral didn't end there and frankly I'm scared of what week 6 is…

I want to lose about 20lbs by Christmas. At about 1.25 lbs a week it should be doable....I hope. That should put me 2/3 the way to ultimate goal weight lost. Good luck everyone!

Hi! Love challenges with spreadsheets, means someone might always be looking. My weigh in day is Wednesdays is it okay to update it on our weigh in days or should we just weigh in on sundays for this particular challenge? Week 1: SW: 159.6 CW: 159.6 TL: 0 lbs CGW: 140 UGW:117 Joined group today

Oh I'm good walking a good bit (ie most) of the 5k but I want to run at least some of it, especially since there is a 60 minute time limit. (Boston qualifier starts after the 5k finishes and the city can only shut down the roads for so long). I can't go any slower any slower and I'm not moving. Funny thing is it's actually…

I love my jawbone up. I got it on Memorial Day '14 and in June I averaged about 5,400 steps a day now I usually over 13,000 steps a day. The increased number of steps is mostly from me challenging myself to go farther. I especially like the fact that it adjusts my calorie allowance here on MFP and if the two total burns…

Hi! I'm new too- just shy of two weeks! Feel free to add me. Two tips off the bat, first the barcode scanner is best part of app ( everything is on it -making tracking not a chore  ) and the second the forums have just about every question I've run across answered.
