  • I'm a little sore from my workout yesterday, but that is okay. Today I start my training for pull-ups. I bought a pull up assist rope so the plan is to slowly work my way to being able to do pull ups by myself. Can you imagine how good that would feel? I have never ever been able to do a pull up, even when I was a kid.
  • Anything is better than nothing! Keep it up!
  • Thank you for the recommendation. I ordered it and I think it is going to be awesome. I'm glad that you are doing well. Rock those challenges!
  • Awesome! Congrats!
  • Luckily, I do... Kinda. I have lost 1 inch on my waist and 1 inch in my hips since Nov 21st. Everywhere else is the same. I'm so curvy, though, that even my measurements can be inconsistent. I have to make sure that they are always in the exact same spot as last time or there can be large variations. Also, I have to make…
  • @HealthyGinny, congrats - a loss is a loss. I love seeing the scale go down
  • I am freaking out a little. I started a weight training program 3 weeks ago and I am now up 2.2 pounds. I worked so hard to get the scale under 160 pounds. I can not bear to see that number go up any more! I'm assuming that the weight is from muscle. I haven't been perfect with my calorie goals, but I haven't been any…
  • @mia2xtran, your breakfast looked yummy. @moremonica, keep your streak going! I will be joining you this week. Only fruit after dinner as a dessert : ) @L_Master, Man you are good at listening to your body. If I feel hungry a little while after eating, I usually just reach for a munchie. I might have second thoughts next…
  • Hey Pam! I had an amazing Chalupa with smashed black beans for dinner.
  • Congratulations on your success! It is awesome that you were able to lose weight over the holidays. I was able to maintain : ) The scale sure is moving slowly for me these days.
  • I would go with Beef or Chicken and broccoli, egg drop soup, and no egg roll or chicken wing (if it is fried). I like the idea of asking for the sauce on the side. I have never done that. I would also get brown rice if they have it. You can even check out nutritional info before you go and maybe even pre-log it so that you…
  • I started to read the Beck Diet Solution, but struggled after starving myself for 24 hours. Maybe I will pick it back up again... but I will not do that exercise again. Also, 1 pound is better than 0 pounds.
  • Thank you for this recommendation! I made it last night and it was amazing. I don't even like black beans : ) I did change a few of the ingredients based on what I had on hand. I tried a little pureed, but ultimately, I just ate it without pureeing it. I thought it was better that way.
  • I weighed in today : )
  • Homemade V8!? That sounds like an excellent idea. It sounds like you are kicking butt!
  • I only weigh myself first thing in the morning (before coffee) and without clothes on so that I can be as consistent as possible. Many things can change your weight during the day. However, if your scale is not giving you the same number 5 minutes apart when you have not eaten anything, drank anything, changed clothes, or…
  • I'm sorry you had to cancel! I used to have the same problem, but my will power has gotten A LOT better over time. I hope your weigh in is amazing!
  • Your cycling classes sound hard core. I really like group classes, but my work schedule makes it hard to get to the classes. Ultimately, working out on my own time is the only way I am able to get anything done. Of course, working out after a 12 hour day is pretty rough too. My husband and I started a 12 week weight…
  • Yeah, working out makes you hungry, especially if you worked extra hard. Not too long ago, I ran 7 miles and then preceded to stuff my face with anything in sight. Not something I want to do again.
  • Sorry for the late replies to everyone. I am officially caught up and for some reason, I am really craving a smoothie ;) I am getting ready to go for an amazing run. I hope everyone has an amazing day!
  • I had a close friend go through foot surgery and it was pretty rough. I hope he is doing better.
  • I quit drinking soda over 1.5 years ago. So glad that I did! I do not miss it at all. The first few weeks were really rough though.
  • It is a great feeling, isn't it!? I have been eating healthy and working out for 1.5 years and I feel and look so much better. I am so glad that you are feeling good!
  • Running! I love running. It is soooo satisfying to see how far I have come since I started. I recently started a weight training program, though. It has cut into my running a little, but it is gorgeous today so I am looking forward to a nice long run today.
  • I do that too! If they start to go bad, I just freeze them. The current price of berries around here is killing me though. I refuse to buy strawberries for $5
  • Me too! I had a rough week last week and had a couple of Screw It moments. Alcohol is definitely my nemesis. I had 3 absolutely amazing margaritas and a bottle of wine a few nights ago. So many calories! But, I did not gain so I am going to make sure I have an excellent week going forward. And no more alcohol!
  • I'm a little late with weigh in. Luckily (or not) I am exactly the same as last week so the weight posted in the spreadsheet is right on. I had a rough week, though, so I am really glad I didn't gain!
  • I think you did great! I am about the same weight (155ish) and I am having a hard time getting the scale to move at all.
  • Nice loss! I'm jealous
  • The weight does sound lower in Kilos, but it takes so much longer to lose 1 kilo than it does to lose 1 pound
