  • Nevermind, after an hour of searching the webs, I ended up just unlinking and relinking my accounts, and that seems to have worked. :)
  • Is anyone's UP not synching the calories earned over to MFP? My foods (that I'm entering into MFP) synch to UP just fine. The first several days to week that I used my UP, the calories earned for steps taken adjusted my goal on MFP, but now it's no longer doing that. I was confused about why there was a discrepancy for the…
  • LOL That's what I was thinking too! That s**t's bananas, b - a - n - a - n - a - s
  • I wish I could do that! I have a home based cake and cupcake business. I always have tubs of frosting, scraps (to be turned into cake truffles/cake pops), assorted chocolates etc. in my house. One thing that I find helps me is to have a very minty (peppermint, strong spearmint) gum in the house. If I have a sweet craving,…
  • Must be fate that I stumbled on this the day I decided to come back to MFP. Hope you don't mind if I add myself to the google document!
  • My son is the bigger fan, but I enjoy Ranma 1/2 (yeah, I'm old school).
  • Mine hangs right about to my bra strap in back. I get frustrated, because when I sit, it of course gets caught between my body and the back of the chair. Then I go to turn my head, and I look like an excited dog on a leash, getting yanked back. Anybody else have this problem? This is as long as it gets for me, because I…
  • I think this would be a question for the doctor who told you to limit your carbs and sugars. He may have meant refined sugars, or all sugars. Also, does your doctor know your vegetarian lifestyle? There's carbs and natural sugars in all things fruits, veggies, and grains....
  • Me too.... still.... Yup, even now there's still snickers bubbling up..... Ok, I'm done Nope, still laughing!
  • I have no idea what the equation the dietitian used was, but she estimated my daily needs at 1500. Then, when I dropped 10 lbs she dropped my calories to 1450. After that, I was starving all the time, and I kept complaining that I didn't think I was eating enough. My weight loss slowed down as well. The test found my REE…
  • Mine is public as well. Didn't do so well tracking over the summer. This past week is pretty good, and back in the winter, like January through March and April are pretty complete as well.
  • I cleaned the inside freezer, and found a single Starkist Seasations tuna mediteranean medley. So, I nuked that for lunch, and had some leftover zucchini and yellow squash from last night's dinner. It was quick, and yummy, a great thing on a busy day like I've had today.
  • Plan that late night snack into your daily calories. Then you can have it, and it won't set you back. When I was working with a nutritionist (registered dietitian at the hospital), she said there was no reason you can't have a late night snack if you want one, unless it upsets your stomach or sleep patterns. Obviously, if…
  • When I was working with my nutritionist (registered dietician at the hospital), she said it's better to try and stay with even numbers throughout the day, every day of the week. For example, I'd eat 3 or 4 minimeals every 3 hours at about 250 calories, then I'd have a big dinner with my family of 500 to 700 calories.…
  • Sounds like fun! I wanna play too! SW 188.4
  • A few people have mentioned coupons. www.couponmom.com is another good one. Also, use your store ads. Stock up when something is on sale. This week, boneless skinless breasts are on sale at my store, so I'll buy 3 packages. I'll use one this week and will have the others on hand in the freezer. Same goes for pork and beef.…
  • Yes, let us know what's happening! I have to tell you that since Friday, when my calories got raised to 1600, I have lost a pound and a half! It really is true that if you don't eat enough, your metabolism will slow down so your body can survive on that few of calories.
  • Speaking of bears.... I snapped these pictures when driving through the U.P. last summer. I think I took them in Trout Creek? Outside of a bar & grill...
  • As an example, I used to eat 1200 plus my exercise calories. All in all, about 1500 calories. Then, I started playing around. I added in 100 calories, so after exercise, I was eating about 1600 calories. I still lost the same amount of weight. Bonus food, and still losing weight, what's wrong with that? Then, I tried doing…
  • Your body can only use about 30g of protein at a time. Any more than that just gets flushed out of your system. If you mix it with milk, you'll be getting that protein in addition to the protein in the powder, so I'd just cut down to one scoop at a time. I've got a protein mix that I use (Life's Best Plant Protein-- pea,…
  • Bwaaa Haaaaa Haaaaaa  Jonas Brothers rumor in a group of 12 y.o. girls....
  • I generally find that dress slacks for men have smaller waists than they say. My 30w/34l son was able to find a 32/34 in black dress slacks that fits him fine.
  • By the way, besides all the "normal" touristy stuff, is there anything someone would recommend as a must do/must see? Something regular tourists wouldn't know or think about?
  • Thanks. For all I know, DH asked the London guys (they were all in Baltimore together this week). I know I was nagging him to ask anyways  Otherwise, I did like the hotel we stayed at before, except that I'd wake up in the morning with bug bites or spider bites or something. Didn't happen to anyone else in the group…
  • My 16 year old son has a 29 inch waist. Good luck finding those too... And he's 6'2" (1.8meters I think). I cannot find anything in his size. I've managed to buy online a 30"waist 34" inseam, but those are skimming the tops of his shoes. He grows even a little more, and I'm not sure what we'll do. Besides buy a bigger…
  • I weigh almost every morning. I tried weighing once a week, but then I started psyching myself out. Was it really a gain/loss, or just a fluctuation? By weighing every day, I know what my body does, and I don't get myself freaked out like I did when I only weighed once a week. On the other hand, I know there are people on…
  • I leave the skin on my avocado, slice it in half. Twist, and one half will come free, leaving the other half with the pit still intact. I then peel and use the half that doesn't have skin (if you're only using a quarter, I would tuck the other quarter in to the pit maybe?). I just throw the half with the pit in a ziploc…
  • Oh, it's a NEW new forum... I got the email, but didn't realize.... Fork, I'd be happy to "ahem" ENCOURAGE AND LIFT YOU UP when you pose nude... That was what you were askin', right?
