Shifting Stomach Fat

Dry and temperamental. Never know how it's going to turn out.

I only poo maybe twice a week. Anything more than that is way too hard on me.

Congrats on your sobriety. If he would rather you using than healthy and overweight, he may need to reevaluate his priorities. :noway: This is my Gaelic serenity prayer tattoo To the OP: It sounds like a slap in the face to your hubby. Not just getting a tattoo when you know how he feels, but a "conspicuous" one where he…

You are intentionally misinterpreting everything I've said. Sorry for you.

I don't have a bias against fat people - you are projecting this. Did you even read what I wrote? I work in public health, so I have a bias against people who don't take care of themselves. I only mention your weight because there are many chronic diseases that go along with obesity that can only be seen by visiting a…

The actual disorders aren't "disgusting", but the actions taken and results of them can be. Alcoholics who drive drunk and hurt others. People with eating disorders who justify their habits to other impressionable people. Not treating either of these disorders is dangerous, frustrating, and sad. But going out and actively…

You *were* 400 pounds and haven't been to a doctor in 20 years? Your wife is medical and is okay with this? Doesn't add up. Part of the idea of having insurance is that you are seen regularly, many health problems can be caught before they are too serious, thus saving everyone money.

*I disagree with someone on the internet

I totally see your point. And, as a recovering addict (alcoholic) myself, I can relate to how she is feeling and the resisting treatment. What I would say is disgusting is that this site will publish something like this where she is propagating this unhealthy and dangerous point of view. Others will relate to this, and…

It's the mental illness piece, not the number on the scale piece that is being reacted to. She has a binge eating disorder, and seems to be using societal norms to justify it by refusing to conform. BTW:You look great and healthy, and this thread has absolutely nothing to do with you or your health/fitness goals.

Did you actually read the article? She is mentally ill, and the obesity is a side effect of what she is going through. it is sad and disturbing. It is also disturbing how many people agree with what she is saying. There is help available, when they are ready to accept it. It's not about the weight as much as the mentality.…

Seriously. I want to go home and make one right now. How have I never thought of this?

I think this article is sad, and I feel for the woman. She is suffering from events of her past that are causing her to shield herself from the world - a place she sees as dangerous and scary. I did that for years as an alcoholic. Hopefully she is going to get the help she needs that she can be happy and open to life - a…

Your ticker. And I would listen to SideSteel's advice

If you only have 5 pounds lo lose it is healthier and more realistic to set to lose .5-1 lb/week. This will help to reduce the amount of muscle you lose along with the fat.

Don't over complicate it. You can't spot reduce fat or cellulite, it's genetic. Lower your body fat percentage by eating at a deficit, and do the exercise you like and will continue doing. ETA: you're 18, I'll bet you it isn't even noticeable to anyone else

Fresh would probably be better, but I can be lazy and this has more f a breading consistency than shredding

GymPact, it's a free app. Catch is you have to go somewhere and check in, you can't workout at home.

Well, I work in substance abuse and we offer money incentives for people to come to treatment.

This so much. When you stop, your blood level drops. Then you start up again and it takes TIME to get back to the level where you felt okay enough to stop in the first place. Taking the medication isn't causing the anxiety, it's the stopping. There is a reason your doctor prescribes it the way they do - daily. Celexa isn't…

AND... It only gets better :flowerforyou:

Try taking it at night. It makes me really sleepy too and out of it too, so it's helpful at night. Also, if you are getting these side effects from cutting it down, it could be really tough to come off of it. Last summer my doctor and I decided to try and wean me off... My anxiety was terrible and I just cried all the…

You're only making it worse on yourself. This isn't going to end well
