Ive had one for the last 4 or 5 years and it has made a huge difference. I sync it with MFP so I can 'earn' extra calories, and seeing my daily steps motivates me to get out for a walk if Im not at my target. I started with the charge HR and am now on the Blaze. I wouldnt be without it :)

Feel free to add me anyone, my diary is open and I log everything each day :)

Hey guys & gals, after losing quite a bit, gaining a bit of that back, and then finally losing it again.... this is where I am now, with a final few lbs to lose. I find maintenance really hard, in some ways harder than losing. Anyway, I'm in the UK, and always up for more friends, so feel free to add me :)

Hi guys & gals, I'm in the Uk too, near Wolverhampton. I've lost quite a bit by logging on MFP, but got a bit lazy and some of the weight has crept back on. So, I'm using the new year as a kick up the backside to get back on track, and am always happy for any more friends on here, particularly from the UK :) Feel free to…

I've been on here a while and lost quite a bit of weight, however of the last few months I've put a bit (not all!) of it back on again. So, I'm now working hard to get back into the swing of it and lose a those few lbs again! As part of this I always log on every day, share my meal plans, and provide updates etc so if…

Hey all, I'm in the UK too (Midlands) and have been on here for quite a while now - feel free to add me if you like, always good to have more UK friends :)

I'm not on facebook (I was but left a few years ago), however my thoughts on this are......... post pictures including you having lost weight, but dont specifically mention weight loss. I think people have more respect/admiration for people who actually lose weight and dont mention it, rather than people who say "look at…

Very interesting post, and I can see the point the OP is making. I think people, including me previously, convince ourselves that we are happy as we are as that is easier than doing anything about it. Now that I have done something about it, I can see I was wrong and I'm sure other people would be happier if they did the…

Thanks Mangrothian, that makes more sense - should have thought of that :)

Very inspiring Bud, you have done a great job and must be very proud! Try not to get too attached to the 34" jeans though, as you might be in 32" before long at this rate! You mention a 102.9lbs target - thats not your target weight is it, as thats under 8 stone! Keep up the great work ;)
-
Completely agree, the two things work together perfectly - set yout MFP to a sedintery lifestyle (so it gives you minimal calories) then use your steps to earn extra cals :)

Hi Nick, as others have said, your story is truly inspirational! I really enjoy your no-nonsense approach, and have really enjoyed reading your posts and watched your Youtube channel - and putting it all into practice! I hope I'm not duplicating any questions (I dont think I am) but I wanted your advice..... I've lost over…

If it fits into my calories, no problem! I ocassionally go for a deli, but my most regular McDonalds treat is a black coffee - with no cals :)

Great willpower MamaOfTwo20! It is similar where I work, ocassionally pizza is brought in. I used to think of things like that in terms of not only taste (I love pizza!) but also value..... telling myself that as it is free, it is better value to eat more! However, like you I always bring my own lunch now - and although…

Hi, good question.......... although it is tempting to weight every day, I find once a week, same time, works best for most people. Your body weight fluctuates a lot depending on a lot of factors, and weighing every day can be demotivating if you see weight not coming off, or evening going on, but once a week it all evens…

Thanks guys, that is good info..... next time I'm at the gym I'll start light as suggested and see how I get on :)

After reading loads of reviews, I went for the Fitbit Charge HR. Firstly, the strap is good - it is comfortable to wear and wont fall off (something important to me). Also, the HR facility is great - very useful! Price wise, the Fitbit Flex and Fitbit Charge have come down a lot in price to around the £60 mark, but in my…

Hey guys and gals, just unboxed and setting up my Fitbit Charge HR! Still not sure exactly what I need to do, so will have a look through the forums for advice :) Cheers!

Just seen this - and I must admit, I pretty much agree with OP, however the reaction is as interesting as the post itself. I find in life it is always easier to tell people what they want to hear, whether it is about weight loss, work, personal life - pretty much anything. For example, if someone says "I've had a bad day…

Sounds like you have the right attitude, and having a something to aim for - ie; being fit and healthy to play with the kids, is a great motivation! I've got 3 - 4/4/7 and for me not being a "fat dad" was a big part of why I decided to try and get in shape - good luck with the journey, and feel free to add me as a friend…
-
Hiya, I'm fairly new here too - anyone feel free to add me, I'm in the Midlands! - Cheers, Mark

Hi, I'm from Oxford originally but now in the West Midlands - always happy to have more friends, so anyone feel free to add me :)
-
No, although they would probably be low fat/high protein! WY let someone choose a song for you to sing at karaoke?
-
On a good day, probably :)
