I make things in advance, although I work a maximum of 4 days a week (always do 12 or 13 hour + shifts), I batch cook a curry the night before or a stew or something like that and warm it at work. I eat 2 meals and a snack at work and dinner when I get home. :)

Hi all *waves* I'm RNMH and fairly newly qualified (first year of being registered) I work in a locked rehab for women with personality disorder with other diagnoses, during my nursing degree I moved twice, got divorced, maintained a long distance relationship and oh, was a single parent with no family around. I gained a…

See I can confidently say, in my humble opinion, its this kind of opinion, judgement and moralising, that is disgusting. When did food and bodies become a moral battleground? Have any of you googled Tess? She talks freely about her lifestyle. About working out, about what she does in her free time. Her body tells you…

Why does being on the cover of a magazine glorify fat anymore than being on the cover glorify handbags or short hair or septum peircings? I seriously don't get why everyone's all "won't somebody think of the children" about this but not about the fact that we allow women with very obvious disordered eating parade about…

Some of the comments on this thread make me weep for humanity. We realise the question is "Should fat people be allowed a place in the median spotlight or will everyone in the world suddenly become fat too and die of heart failure if we allow it?" right?

Be aware that soda may not have calories but the stuff put in it to make it bubbly leaches calcium from your bones so make sure you have plenty of it if youre drinking it a lot :)

PaleOMG has some amazing desserts on her blog, I don't think they are bad in a moderate way as long as they don't trigger binges etc. I have a whole "sex with your pants on" board on pinterest lol http://www.pinterest.com/WeightWars/

I get mine from a farm at the end of my street lol, I see the pig one week and bacon the next :) There is lots of evidence that nitrates aren't terrible from paleo sources as well, have a little google. I'm on the whole 30 so avoiding store bought bacon

Lead by example. Even if you don't need to lose weight, talk about how great you feel, run about with the kids and eventually she'll want what you have.

I've got a fit bit and have found it accurate as you're ever going to get for full day wear, I have a polar FT7 which I wear for periods where I'm exercising, I've linked runkeeper, fitbit and my fitness pal together so they all talk together and give me a good overview of what I'm doing and how I'm doing.

It depends a lot on your current health and weight but you only need EXTRA calories above maintenance in your 3rd trimester, and you only need between 300-500 depending on your current weight. I was very overweight during my pregnancy and lost weight throughout safely eating healthy food. I couldn't not eat when I was…

Cooking won't change the calories by any negligible amount :) Try not to eat too much under your calorie allowance, it's pretty unhealthy which kind of defeats the point :) Unless your calorie allowance is 1200 already MFP will prompt you to recalculate every 10 lbs you lose.

I would just make sure you are eating enough to maintain your muscle mass.

Interesting first post, because we don't know her full medical history, because epilepsy could be one of many issues and she may be on other medications, because we don't know her and none of the people advising are her doctor. And yes. As an epileptic I am aware of the diet and it's failure and success rate.
