  • I lost 60 pounds in a very short period of time by eating 500-800 calories a day or what some people would consider "starvation"/too low calories. My body did not rebel. However, what did eventually happen once I entered maintanence is that I entered a terrible starvation/binge cyclefrom all the deprivation in which I'd…
  • http://www.tortillas4u.com/ check out the High fiber, low carb wraps. They're 45 calories each, a pretty big size, 5 g of protein, and 8 g of fiber per wrap. They're honestly the best bang for your buck that I've seen out there and I've done lots of research. You can get them at Savemart. Another alternative for 50…
  • I'm finding this post FASCINATING. What people think is "too skinny" seems very subjective to me. How does one define "too skinny"? Clearly not by BMI standards since the numbers people are throwing out as too skinny are not underweight by that criteria. And yes, I realize the BMI is an imperfect measure. But really, I…
  • It's so true. I'm 5'.6.5 and 120 pounds. I wrote a success post and was bombarded with people telling me I'm "too thin," when in fact I think I'm just in the normal range. Because society is so overweight, I think people's perceptions are really just off.
  • I'm 5'7 and started at 178 and am now at 119. I think I am now probably what most people would consider thinner than what they'd like to be, and I'm not suggesting this weight for you (or anyone else), but that's besides the point haha. The point I wanted to make was that I'd advise against quickly writing yourselves off…
  • Hopefully I can serve as a bit of inspiration ;) I'm 5'7 and started at 176 in January. I'm now down to 119. So while my stats don't match EXACTLY, they're fairly close to your goals. Wanted to let you know it is possible with hard work!! Don't let others deter you or tell you your goals aren't achievable!! :) You go girl!
  • Therefore, weight loss isn't necessarily meant to be sustainable. The idea is that you pick up certain tips and lifestyle changes along the way that you carry into your new life. It doesn't mean though that you have to continually be in a calorie defecit for the rest of your life.
  • Also, I don't believe 1200 calories is sustainable either. 1200 calories is what I ate to LOSE the weight, not to maintain. During weight loss, you need to be in a calorie defecit. During maintanence, you simply need to be consuming the same amount of calories that you are expending. Therefore, you can consume more…
  • Thanks to everyone who has provided positive encouragement!! :) Again, I have NO Idea why anyone thinks this post is fake, as I see no motivation in doing so. Nowhere have I tried to promote a diet pill or any special diet. I lost the weight through exercise and cutting back calories. It's as simple as that. I also don't…
  • I COMPLETELY agree. I think if I didn't lose the weight so quickly, I would have lost motivation and momentum.
  • thank you! :)
  • Thanks for the support guys :))) I don't know what the point would be in making this up? lol
  • Also, according to my BMI at least, I am within the "healthy" weight range, so I'm confused as to why people are claiming I'm underweight?
  • I didn't initially want to respond to this post because I didn't want to fuel the negativity/"haters" haha. But I'm going to respond because I do want to give hope to those of you who are struggling like I was, and I want you guys to know it IS possible. First of all, while not easy, losing 10 pounds a month is possible,…
