I lost weight and got stronger. Actually had to put on weight during insanity because I lost too much. It's intense and addicting. Completely worth the cost.

It's the best video workout I've ever done. Now if I do any other video, I'm bored and feel useless. Any activity is good, but insanity is truly the best. Great cardio and strengthens your legs, arms, and stomach. It kicks my butt every time but I love it. It's definitely worth purchasing.

I love Chia Seeds. I haven't cooked with them yet, but I know there are a lot of recipes for them on the internet. My favorite thing to do is to add them to flavoured water, shake them up, let them sit for in there for about 20 minutes, shake them some more, and then drink them. I love the texture. I have 2 TBS per day.

Hey! Glad you started this group. I love Insanity. We have started round two for the second time. I think the ladies I do it with are getting tired of it and want to do Turbo Jam, and that's great! I love Insanity though, there's nothing better.

Just read an article by Men's Health yesterday that said you can't have too much. I eat as much as possible.

Love Insanity. It's very intense and will definitely get you the results you want. I use it with running too.

I try to live by the O blood type diet and I feel so much better when I do.

I think everyone is right to some degree....it completely depends on the person. I can say that all of the above has affected me in some way or another. It would take a long time to write about all the things that effect my self esteem when it comes to how I feel about how I look. Even as far as eating disorders go, I…

Welcome! If you would like a friend for support, feel free to add me! :)

Since I'm not really into football, I'm trying to decide who I would hope would win if I were at a game! Living in Utah though, I can't help but hear a lot about both teams and there definitely is a lot of rivalry. Always have loved BYU though, so I probably lean more towards them. Hope it's a great game tomorrow!

Hiking...great idea!

That's what my husband likes too, and he dislikes any other cardio. That's a great idea. Even a stationary bike is great, if your hubby would like to stay indoors. But it always feels great to get out! I'd rather run than do the elliptical any day. But we are all different. I hope you can find something that works for him.…

I'm 5'8" too. Love to be of support!

Are you getting enough calories? I was working out too much and not eating enough and it zapped my energy horribly. If that's not the case, drink a lot of water around that time and a healthy snack.

"A friendly greeting"...I love it!! lol!

ROFL!

Doesn't look sexually suggestive to me. Like a couple of other posters suggested, maybe wear a light pair of shorts over what you have on. I also agree with another poster that some people at the gym do come in looking like street walkers. I've seen people wear more sexually suggestive clothes even at the grocery store,…

This ALWAYS happens to me. Just keep pushing through, it will get better. I rarely get sick any more now that I exercise all the time. :)
-
I'll have to try it! I'm always looking for great stuff to add to my brown rice/tuna fish mix. :)
-
I agree, rice and frozen vegi's are great. I also buy canned food, like green beans, tuna fish, and black beans. Our local grocery store sells huge boxes of chicken tenders...maybe you can find something like that. Lunch meat can also be a great source of protein as well as cottage cheese.

I watch tv once in a while, but not very often. I prefer to exercise with things mostly quiet. The moods of the music or show I'm watching effect how I feel when I exercise too much. Sounds strange but it does. A bad song or something sad happening in a movie or show bring down my energy.

America's Test Kitchen! That show is definitely food porn...and the recipes are so easy! I like to watch that while I'm on the elliptical. :)

This can be my problem at times too! I don't know what triggers it and what doesn't it. But going to bed is the best solution for me also, and like you said, if I can get there. One of the things I found that helps me personally, is sugar free pudding and jello. Low cal, fills me up, and tastes good for hardly any…

Love it!

I love the sound of the banjo but when I would use it like it was spelled, the username was always taken, so I added a j, and now no problem. :)

Always happy to have new friends here. :)

I love almond butter too! It's one of the best things ever. My only problem is, it is one of those things I have a hard time not eating too much of so I don't buy it often. I love having zone bars. They are protein bar but they are like a treat to me. Plus greek yogurt with peanut butter mixed in it. Yummy.
