  • Oh I meant in the evenings when the kids are in bed. And I meant activities you do with your spouse or significant other.
  • I love Walking Dead. Mainly it's because it's zombies (and I love zombie culture) and it's based in Atlanta (where I live). Can't wait for season 2!
  • Man... this thread should have its own group. Just sayin'. Here's a question... How do you embrace your inner geek (or outer geek, if that's how you roll)? I'm having some difficulties with my husband lately. We've cut video games out of our lives at least for now. BUT... we need to find something else to occupy our time.…
  • Welcome! I'm relatively new here as well and I find the entire site a wealth of knowledge and support!
  • Yeah! We played RIFT up until about a month ago. I liked it very much, probably more than WoW or any other MMO we had played recently. Also I just wanted to say that this thread is truly fantastic!! It's good to know I am with like company in my weight loss. Women and men alike, I wish I knew you all years ago!
  • Yeah believe me, it's been rough. But I found that video games (MMOs mostly) were a factor in my sedentary lifestyle. I'll be back some day but just gotta my health under control for now. :)
  • Welcome, I commend you on your courage!

  • Woodstock, GA (suburb of Atlanta) I've also lived in Nashville, TN, Indianapolis, IN and St Louis, MO
  • Geeky girl here too. Though I gave up video games to find a healthier lifestyle for myself, I do appreciate the geekier things in life.
  • My Endocrinologist actually suggested I try the EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control Protein shakes they sell at Kroger. (If Kroger is in your area) It's only 2g of carbs and it pretty much fills me up (I take it in the morning for breakfast, and I'm good until lunchtime). Hope this helps you in some way!
  • I need to lose probably about 80 lbs. I have a form of PCOS, thankfully I'm past the years for wanting to have children (I have 3). I've had some endometrial issues in my life. I'm also diabetic and hypo-thyroidic. I hope that with weight loss I'll be able to curb those problems.
