  • There are not alot of foods in the ww database so you have to input the fat, carb, fiber, and protein yourself to figure out the points, MFP has a much bigger database of foods. And it's FREE!
  • Thanks, can't wait to try these!
  • I think I will have to. It's too easy to slip back into old ways. And this keeps me accountable. But it's not necessarily a bad thing.
  • Yes, I've read the book. It is an eye-opener and it can also be overwelming. Some of the changes she suggests can be done easily but others seem like way to much effort! I would definitely recommend reading it.
  • Maple Grove Farms sugarfree balsamic vinaigrette is only 5 calories per tablespoon and it tastes good.
  • I'm a teacher too and not ready to go back yet! I've enjoyed the summer and having time to exercise. But I also have more time to eat, so I usually eat all my exercise calories! I hate the stress of the first few weeks of school. Fall is also really busy with my own kids activities. But having this site has been a big help…
  • I may be holding my breath on the last few reps (they are harder), and I haven't paid much attention to my breathing when lifting weights. (I try not to grunt!) I usually drink 16 ounces of water before exercising and then more during and after. I will focus on my breathing next time and see if it helps. Thanks!
  • I looked at your diary for today. I eat that much food in one meal! You may want to add some more lean protien, fruits and veggies and dairy. I think your body needs more to get the nutrients it needs for optimal function. You should probably not eat below 1200 on a daily basis. I guess as long as you feel well and don't…
  • I would just eat real healthy foods(fruits, vegetables, lean meats, dairy) and take a daily vitamin:) I need the taste, smell, texture of real food or else I feel I'm being cheated or punished.

  • We are soon to get a Trader Joe's too! I can't wait!
  • I've been drinking almond milk, which only has 40 calories per cup and tastes similar to fat free milk. I like the taste. But I also drink fat free milk or 1%. I don't know if their is any benefit in one over the others.

  • (For this last question, you can add unlimited food. (more than one) If you only ONE day to live:( and you could care less of what you ate, what would you eat for.... Breakfast? Omelet loaded with veggies and cheese, bacon, wheat toast with butter, fresh strawberries with whipped cream, coffee with bailey's irish cream.…

  • That's great! It can be discouraging when the weight is slow to come off, but just keep going. I've realized patience really is a virtue when becoming healthier. Keep it up!
  • I'm with ya on that!
  • Ok, I couldn't figure out where or how to manually change my daily fiber goal. How do I ?

  • I've never heard or seen super skim milk. How many calories, compared to regular skim milk?
  • Those sound like good healthy snacks! I made vegetable dip with fage plain greek yogurt, cottage cheese and some hidden valley ranch dip mix. Sometimes I add some shredded parmesan cheese. It's pretty good. A peanut butter sandwich with blueberries or sliced strawberries on it instead of jelly, on a thin multigrain bun is…
  • The yoplait digestive health vanilla yogurt tastes just like frozen yogurt/ice cream but the key is to not freeze it completely, or if you do, then thaw it for 20 seconds in the microwave before eating. YUMMY!

  • Thanks! I miss having margaritas because of the high calories. You're recipe sounds tasty! I'm looking forward to trying it. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for the great ideas and info! I will try to use them more often:smile:
  • I think it means sugar that's added to foods, not sugar that occurs naturally. For example, fresh fruit naturally has sugar, but yogurt has added sugar. So try for no more than 24 grams of added sugar daily, if you're concerned about it:smile: .
  • Well, for alot of people it does. That's why there's so many gluten free foods now.
  • Alot of these things are common knowledge, but it doesn't hurt to hear them again. Glad you are able to make more healthy choices. It does take alot more effort!
  • I don't know if they do all they say they do, but the sketchers sandals are very comfortable! I could wear them 24/7!
  • I think if you're losing weight it's probably ok, but if you're not then you should eat more calories, because if you're body doesn't get the amount it needs to function well, it will start hoarding calories and you won't lose weight.
