  • I like the special k mixes, they have 5 grams protien, 5 grams dietary fiber, and only 30 calories. I don't drink it that often and I am not sure about the Aspartame.
  • the bike sounds cool. I am trying to decide what gym to stick with right now. I have my account on hold at L.A. Fitness for the summer so the kids and I can enjoy the pool at lifetime fitness. Lifetime is like a little resort to me, indoor and outdoor pool, cafes, kick butt kids zone… but it’s crowded and the step aerobics…
  • I finally got to use my heart rate monitor in class today. My heart rate got up to 181, not sure if that's high... but for me, I thought I was going to die. My resting heart rate is in the 60s or 80s if I am stressed. I ate really good today, but now it's dinner time and I have 1200 calories left to eat. I start off with…
  • I just signed up and was a bit surprised to see that I am only allowed 1290 calories a day. :ohwell: I always thought that we should have a 2000 calorie diet, that's what the back of the box says. Is that normal? It seems like so little to me, I've been over all week...but I will work harder at staying under in the…
  • Ah yes! I am so there with you. I just started last week, more to track what is going on with my body then an actual diet... but I've gone over everyday. It is very difficult. I read somewhere that it takes six weeks to break a habit. I think my eating style is a habit... I'll have six weeks of difficulty to get healthy,…
  • If you do meet someone online, meet in a public place and don't let them know your number or address. After you meet, and feel like there may be a connection, or at least a possiblity of future conversation, then give your number, but only if it's unlisted or a cell number. Give it a few dates/meetings before actually…
  • I've been reading posts about hrm's and then I did some research online and went to a few stores. I think I found a good price. $74 for the f4 and $99 for the f6. Has anyone tried both? Is it worth the extra money to spring for the f6? I know some of you love the f11 but too pricey for me right now. I do know the big…
  • We'll I get the recording what you eat part, but I just don't know how to record it. Like how much of a serving size do you put? I know my best bet is to just not do it, but I am stubborn and if I am told not to do something I go overboard doing it. I'll try not to munch on samples and kids food, but in the event I do... I…
  • Thanks for the warm welcome!

  • How do you account for snacking thoughout the day? i.e. eating samples in the store, having a bite or two of my kids snacks, or couple bites of mac and cheese. Things that you don't really eat a whole, half, or even a quater of a serving of. How do you count that? Does anyone else experience this?
  • Most have been said, but these are great to eat snacks... grapes, pickles, carrots. Another thing I have done is counted chips and put them in a baggy so I wouldn't overeat them. Not that chips is a good healthy snack, but if you have to have them then it's a good way to keep it in control.
  • I never thought to grill fruit... but I am not much of a cook, hince the bad eating habits. I might have to try it sometime.
  • I just found and started logging info into this site early this week. I am starting to track my eating habits and to get an idea of things that I need to change. They say keeping a food diary is a great start, so here I am. I am guessing this is a large community, but I still hope to get to know some of you, having someone…
