No idea what the correct way is, but I usually wait 30-45 minutes post workout to have mine.

Feel free to add me if you want, though I'm getting closer to 50 now so I might not be in the group a whole lot longer.

My coworkers thought I was nuts when I first started trying to get in shape because once an hour I would stand up and sit back down at my desk 10-20 times. It wasn't much, but it was something. The funny thing is even the little things can make a difference. Welcome to the group!

If you're okay with the warning below, feel free to add me. ***WARNING: I am not legally accountable for the contents of my posts after working out/waking up/or when hangry***

Congrats on the success! Sorry you've had issues with the guys on here, but we aren't all like that. Best of luck in the future!

Same. 50 is rapidly approaching and I am wanting to be in the best shape possible. I run and strength train but eat poorly so I got that issue to overcome.

I have a friend (also dieting) who likes to tell me he wishes he was in his 40's again because it is so much harder to lose the weight now that he's in his mid-50's. Guess this is just the stuff we go through as we age, cause d**n if it wasn't easier for the weight loss when I was in my 30's...

This is a journey centered around making progress, not being perfect.

Sent a friend request. Anyone can feel free to add me if they'd like.

The fact they easily see through my shallow, self centered facade which I use to mask my insecurities and tendencies for self destru.... umm...boobs. I meant to say boobs.

Don't add me. Seriously, it'll be like the second worst thing you've ever done (you know what the first was). It's just not worth it. Then again....nah, don't do it. Fair warning.

Wow. Not in your area at all but I used to go to high school in West Carthage. That was many, many, many moons ago. Best of luck to you!

Advice: This is going to take a lot of time and you will get discouraged by what seems like a ton of different things. Do Not Give Up! There will be weeks where you exercise, eat right, drink water, do everything right and you will gain weight. Just remember the scale is only telling you how much gravity is affecting you…

I'm an awful, awful friend. Add at your own risk. Don't say you weren't warned. :D

Already sent friend request. Apparently failed to hit "post reply" button earlier though. Computers are hard.

I have lost hundreds of pounds in my life. Mostly they are the same pounds over and over again. Earlier this year I hit my goal weight of 185Lbs (from 256). A knee injury and being unable to run since April has put me back over 203 Lbs. It's frustrating because I know what I should be doing, yet cannot keep myself from…

Feel free to add. Not that I have a lot to offer. I can be funny from time to time, but mostly in a "everyone point and laugh" kind of way.

I log in and post once in a while. Have been told I can be funny, but more of a 'hey everybody point and laugh at that guy' kinda way. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

You could always stay at work all weekend. Maybe not the best advice. How about trying to build a routine/schedule into your weekend so you start to feel the same structure like you do at work. And don't be afraid to say no to large feasts. Eat, but eat a little. Good luck.
