Hi, I am just starting my pre-surgery doctor appointments. I have to have a sleep study and all the blood and ekg stuff done. My insurance says I have to wait 6 months before I get the surgery. I would love to get some help/support with it. I am 324 right now, at my most I was 343. I have lost and gained my whole life. I…

Sadly, no tricks. Just eat better, drink water, get enough sleep and be active.

It's only important if your body is telling you it is. How is your energy? How do you feel compared to when you do eat breakfast, and to when you don't?

I usually try to make some lunches for the week. It's usually some sort of meat and veggie mix. I do get tired of it something, and I'll throw in a sandwich instead sometimes, but most of the times they do the trick. It's easier to just premake something on the weekends as opposed to every day.

Although I don't have any advice in this, I do have experience in being the taker and giver in this. About 3 years ago, I lost 80 pounds while my fiancé basically sat on his *kitten* and didn't do anything and ate like a teenager. The tables turned, and it was me being unhealthy and him exercising. Jump to now, and we are…

About two years ago, I lost almost 80 pounds in 6 months, but I gained it all back. At the time, I was overexercising, and basically starving myself. Now, I'm eating about 1900 cals a day, and walking, walking, walking... with some weights added in. I'm not really in any rush, but I would like to lost 20 more pounds by…

If you are a food addict, you should see about speaking to a therapist. If you don't want to go there, you can always attend an Overeater's Anonymous meeting. OA.org, they have face to face, online and phone meetings. Food addiction is real, just like drug addiction, liquor addiction... there are even people that are…

He's not your husband. He's a pitiful abuser. You say it is not that easy, but it has to be. You cannot stay in such a relationship. I am VERY proud of your week sobriety. That is an important step, and do not forget to go "one day at a time."

Unless you're shoveling them down your throat from the moment you wake up to the moment you lay your head on your pillow, potatoes are simply delicious.

As the obese daughter of a mother that went through her stuff, I 2nd everything that is said here. You saying/doing is only going to make it worse. Trust me. Or, you'll become the mother of a 32 year old morbidly obese daughter.
