I was able to get pregnant after losing approx 20 lbs last year. I was walking during my lunch hour, making sure I ate pretty healthy (lots of salads and more natural foods- no microwave meals and very limited processed foods) and started doing a spin class a couple of times a week. For the first time in my life I lost the…

I agree wholeheartedly. My endocrinologist gave me more insight into my preterm labor loss at 16 weeks than my OB and GP. I would strongly recommend going to see one.

I wish I had some advice for you, but unfortunately I am in the same situation. I lost my son at 16 weeks last month. Prior to pregnancy I had just lost 20 lbs.. it took about 8 months for me to finally lose it. During my 16 weeks I gained most of it back and am DETERMINED to get back to where I was in December. I just…

Thanks so much for sharing your journal entry. It's been a month since I delivered my angel son at 16 weeks and I've been having a rough time dealing. I have just started back up tracking my intake and getting back into my prepregnancy fitness routine and some days I just wonder why. Your entry made me remember that I need…

Same thing here- only to gain 15-20 lbs. I had just managed to lose about 25 lbs prior to finding out I was pregnant in January, now at 13 Weeks I have gained it all back.

Been so off kilter lately but am pretty consistent in my workouts thanks to Spin Class 3x a week. The eating clean part.... well I've seem to fallen off track and am dead set on finding my way back, I just need to get back into the habit of cooking, planning etc.

Count me in as well.... Having a rough time getting back on track and hoping this will help. No. Of Workouts planned: 25 Type of Workouts: Spin Class/Cardio 3X week Strength Training 2X week

After a spin class I look a crazy hot mess! I am coated in sweat and my hair is a frizzy puff ball!! LOL! The good part is that most of the class is in the same state so I don't really stand out. :) I would just concentrate on your personal workout- if others are concerned with how you look at the gym they are probably…

Hi Leah- and happy early birthday!! People with PCOS can definitely lose weight- I think we just have to work a little (okay- a lot most of the time to me!) harder at it. I find that keeping a consistent exercise schedule and watching both sugar and carbs helps a lot. If you peruse the boards under this group I'm certain…

The best thing that seems to work for me is to eat as close to "whole" (unprocessed) as possible and exercise! exercise! exercise! Recently joined a spin class and have noticed a big difference in belly weight. I also cut out all red meat and focus on meeting my nutritional needs (vitamins and healthy fats) versus…

If she mentions anything you can always let her know that a body with PCOS processed food differently than an unaffected body. I ended up ordering the PCOS Workbook which helped me understand the whole food thing a little better. I found my husband reading it just the other day and I think it really helped him out better…

I was diagnosed over 10 years ago and what I have found is that my symptoms take care of themselves when I am doing "what I am supposed to be doing" i.e. watching what I eat and making time for regular exercise. What's definitely helped my mindset is reading the inspiring posts from this group and seeing that I am not the…

I'm really interested in trying to integrate more low glycemic foods into my diet. Can you post an example of a typical meal day? I'd like to see how far off I am. Have been struggling with this weight for a while now and would love to try this. Thanks!

Can you grill year round wherever you are? For "fast" meals we keep lots of protein on hand that we can quickly grill after work if we have things to do and no time to really cook. Some fish with a little Mrs. Dash and asparagus only took about 15 or so minutes last night. We make a salad on Sundays that generally lasts a…

Nervous and excited at once... but this should be interesting!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I went through something very similar last year with my grandmother and I felt way too overwhelmed so I took a break. My first attempt back in Feb failed and I am just now getting back into the swing of things. I am back almost 22 lbs heavier and regret letting myself go. However I am…

For me waiting the hour seems to make little difference but I found that taking it with a full glass of water makes a big difference. During the week I take it as soon as I get up and by the time I get ready and to the office about 45 minutes have passed when I eat breakfast. When I don't take it with a full glass of water…

Great job! Definitely inspiring to me since my 1st goal is very similar to what you've already done! Any tips?

I just "started" again and the thing that keeps me motivated are seeing the pictures of me from a year ago before I gained all the weight back. Since I lost the weight before I know I can do it again and that keeps me going. Maybe keep your meals easy... a little planning goes a long way. I do the whole list thing when…
