anyone doing atkins or just a low-carb diet and also watching sodium? I am and it is VERY difficult since deli meat, cheese and so many other low carb options are often high in sodium. Ive found that sodium makes me bloat...any advice meal/snack suggestions?

I am currently on a low carb diet (under 50g per day) but I am curious about carb cycling.However, I know I am going to drink alcohol 1-2 days a week (just turned 21, not ready to give it up yet!) me too! so far i've heard go to maintenance but that seems a little scary as it about 500 cals more a day and i dont want to gain any weight either

thank you that helped! I think I just need to add a few more exercises to my weight training program because I do struggle to get to 8-10 reps but it just doesn't take me that long. Also, how much cardio do you recommend I do weekly, in addition t my 3 days of weight training?

I log my days the night before. That way In know I can have a good breakfast lunch and dinner with snacks in between and something sweet at night. This way I can manipulate my meals by adding or subtracting certain ingredients until I am at my caloric intake. If you eat something then log it you have no way of taking away…

you can change your settings to track sodium. Just click on settings and go to diary setting and you can choose what you track.

Im in the same boat 5'4" and 120lbs. but i have thr tummy bulge. In the morning I look nice and flat but by the end of the day it appears so annoying. I haven't had my period in almost 3 months! I was worried to I went to the doctor and she told me its probably just because I have changed my diet and exercise up so drastically. I was on birth control before and she advised that I stop taking that and see if my body will catch up. However if I dont get it in 2 more months…

thx for the advice. I just realised I really havent been drinking much water b/c i didnt want to retain it. but little did i know i needed to drink more water to avoid retaining lots of water. I also just stopped using hot sauce and soy sauce, i used to put one of these on everything i ate b/c they were low cal. hopefully…

wow!!! haha thats too funny =) I have heard the same thing and have been doing lots of interval cardio but I started mfp doing interval cardio and still have the pouch. i've decided to lower my carbs, i heard that helps get rid of stored fat in the tummy area, just started so no feedback yet

Thx for the info! I switched my percentage of carbs to be around 50g but mfp only increased my protein so I was unsure if i was supposed to be eating more fats too, so this was helpfull!
