Welcome to MFP! Glad you are working to overcome your disorder, that is very brave and admirable :-) I'm always down to make new friends to bounce ideas off of. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

Hi Cathy! MFP is definitely a useful tool. Having more buddies in your support circle is definitely important :-) What all do you like to photograph? Any killer nature shots? Feel free to add me if you'd like :-)

If you can fit in in go for it. Otherwise could you find a healthier substitution, that way you get to satisfy your cravings without totally sinking yourself?

Like everyone said, a rest day is important. I am similar, in that I'm stubborn and don't want to break a good streak. Although I pushed too many days in my running training last summer and then was out 3 months with an ankle injury. Better to take a day than a month :-)

Sounds like you're doing great! Keep it up

I'm at about 1400 calories myself and am currently 130 and 5'. I definitely dont think 1500 is too much. A lot of people get stuck in under eating (I've struggled with it) Many think eat less, weigh less. However this is not always true. If you are not getting enough you can stop your metabolism and really mess it up,…

Make sure you are on top of your nutrition and slowly ease back into it when you are cleared too. Its certainly not fun, but its a lot less fun to make the injury worse and be out for longer

Chug water and get back on track immediately. As long as you are on plan the majority of the time, one little slip up every once and again shouldnt hurt you too much

I generally like to balance my macros at 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fats. The breakdown of every meal includes a generous serving of a lean protein and veggies for sure. If I can weasel in rice, a roll, or other grains I so so after I;ve already figured out the bulk of my meals, and any snacks (such as greek yogurt) I…

I tried to message you but it wasnt going through. Booo :-( Hi there! I saw your thread about dieting and wanted to send you a quick message. First of all, super glad you are back and motivated!! Congratulations for taking the first step. Second, I saw in your post that you plan to stick to 1200 calories, that is generally…

I break down my goals into much smaller steps. Otherwise I get impatient and defeated

Thats awesome!! Way to go!!! Your before and after pictures are fantastic; how much are you down if you dont mind me asking?
-
Also, if you do up your calories do so slowly for the best results :-)

Nutrition is definitely the biggest struggle. I would not totally deprive yourself, but instead give yourself small (not terrible) treats along the way. It'll be able to give you a little taste and prevent you from binging. A greek yogurt at night is almost like ice cream. Sneak some chocolate milk into your day? The best…

Other people are definitely struggling! Feel free to add me :-)

Hi Dawn! Great job making an awesome first decision. For me, I did my best when I was really diligent about tracking all of my food. It really does make all the difference. Do you have any ideas on how you're going to approach you journey? I'm always down to make new friends so feel free to message me if you'd like :-)
