It was awesome, but today is definitely a rest day!

  • 3/1: 2.53 3/2: Rest 3/3: 2.78 3/4: Rest 3/5: 3.1 Total: 8.41/25 3.1 miles is my best distance yet. I had to slow to a brisk walk twice going up hills, but only for a minute so I'm still calling it a win!
  • 3/3: 2.78 miles Total: 5.31/25 C25K app kept crashing so I just decided to run as much as I could and stop to walk as needed, tracking my speed/time/distance with Samsung Health app on my phone. I ended up running for 30 minutes without a break to walk. Holy cow!! The weather is gorgeous and it felt awesome.
  • 3/1/18 - 2.53 miles. Got to run outside today because hubby was home. It was a nice change of pace from the treadmill (though a little harder). I actually did some hills and didn't stop to walk through them! They were very little hills but seemed huge to me lol
  • I'm about to start week 6 of C25K so this really resonates with me. Last week I had my first moment where I felt it. The session started out feeling ugh but on my last run interval I just hit a stride where my legs seemed to be moving all on their own, my breathing felt good and I was just ... running. It was awesome. I…
  • Another new runner here! I just finished week 5 of C25K today - 20 minutes of run time with no walking break! It was slow (possibly got passed by a turtle at one point), but I did it! I'm setting a goal of 25 miles in March. Looking forward to following along here!
  • You look FANTASTIC!! My start weight and overall build are very similar so you're my new goal (in a total not creepy internet stalker kind of way, I swear!) Congratulations on your success!
  • Congrats!! I finished week 5, day 2 today ... Little bit terrified of Week 5, Day 3 though!
  • My NSV for the week is that I finally made it to a yoga class at my gym (been trying to for weeks) and not only did I LOVE it but I also did pretty well keeping up! I tried a class years and years ago and while I enjoyed it, it was way above my fitness level at the time (couldn't do most of the poses for any length of…
  • I think I sent a friend request to everyone here but if you didn't get one from me, feel free to add! I love seeing it other people's updates in my alerts, helps motivate me to keep going!
  • Holy crap, you're my doppleganger! My name is also Kimberly and my oldest daughter is Abbey
  • This is really close to me! 5'10 SW 220 (last year, but lost some before starting MFP last month at 207) CW 198 GW 185 Goal weight is just my first goal, not really sure what my ultimate goal weight is ... Haven't seen 185 since college, so I figure I'll start there then see where the journey takes me! Also, I'm in Texas…
  • Congratulations on taking the first step!! I am 4 weeks in and it is a bit crazy how quickly this app (which I've used over the years but never really USED) has become an important part of my day. But it works and it's a great place to find motivation and support!
  • Daily logger here (27 days straight and plan to keep at it!). Feel free to add me!
  • My husband was out of town for work for the past week. When he got home yesterday, I was walking to another room and he called after me to ask how much weight I've lost so far (I am about 4 weeks into my journey). I told him about 8 pounds, and he said he could really see the difference :-) He generally HATES to make any…
  • Awesome!
  • Let me preface this by saying I am NOT the most experienced here, but maybe try looking for small wins as the above poster mentions. I've been really logging for about a month but when I started I knew that 2 of my needless calorie wastes every day were drinks. I drank coffee with a lot of milk and sugar (and 3 cups every…
  • You look amazing!! Congratulations!!
  • Hey tall ladies! I'm 3 weeks in and 5'10". SW: 207. CW: 199. My first goal is 185, which I haven't seen sinc my first year in college about 16 years ago (jeez just saying that makes me feel ancient). I'm doing basic CICO, and trying to eat generally more healthy - lean meats, veggies, more cooking and less eating out. Also…
  • You're my freaking hero!
  • I've been reading this thread since I started back on MFP three weeks ago and now I have one to add (and I didn't even realize it until I was reading the thread again lol). I got dressed today and walked by the mirror and actually stopped to go back and take a picture cause I actually felt pretty good about what I saw! I…
  • I don't know you but I can tell you this: You ARE worth it. 50 pounds is an amazing effort. I am just starting my journey (again), 3 weeks in, and I worry every day that my current level of dedication will wear off or that life will get in the way and I'll be back to sitting on my *kitten* eating too much crap food and…
  • As a tall woman (5'10), I found this extremely inspirational. You look fantastic, great work and thank you for sharing your story!!
