Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares - 2 squares of either the 72% or 86% cacao with a cup of coffee stops the sweet and chocolate cravings for me. As for the salty....I eat some raw almonds or some air popped corn with a few sprays of I can't believe it's not butter and some garlic and pepper instead of the salt.

I am new to running as well. Am on week 7 of a C25K program. The hubs and I walk/jog/run outside. (His idea NOT mine) Last night it was 18 degrees and the hubs had to drag my butt out there because I am a WIMP when it comes to the cold, but let me tell you, it actually helps me to keep running or jogging because it is too…

Congrats on your loss! I think that is fabulous! :) Your hard work is paying off. I imagine that you are cooking healthier meals and your husband is now eating them and reaping the benefits as well. I completely understand your frustration. My hubs is losing more and faster than I am and while he is eating the healthier…

3 kids in college means little to no money to spare for gym membership. The hubs and I do our walking/jogging outside and our strength training at home

Ha! I have coffee running in my veins instead of blood! I drink at least 2 pots a day if not more and that is on top of my 8-10 glasses of water. I think I would keel over if I did not have my coffee. My coffee mug has a cute lil pic with a horse leaning on his stall gate (go figure) and a cup of coffee in hand that says…

I smoked for 30 over years and I quit cold turkey 4 months ago. I LOVED smoking, & would smoke right now if not for a few things. 1. I CAN BREATHE!!! 2) My husband actually wants to be around me now that I no longer stink and I taste good (he quit 3 years ago) 3. Physically I can do things I never would have believed…

I suggest using RunKeeper as well. I have RunKeeper running on my phone as well as using my HRM when do my C25K workout. The difference is usually about 70-75 calories between the 2 of them. I just like to see what the difference is.

I have noticed a huge difference in how soft my skin is. One of my daughters also remarked on it the other day when she took hold of my arm and I had on short sleeves. If you do not like water and do not want to use the artificial flavors, which are not that good for you, then try adding some orange slices or some frozen…

I have the gold's gym resistance tubes, and they are great! only about $15

I also LOVE chocolate and I do not bother to deprive myself of it either. I just changed the way I eat it. For example - Dark Chocolate (at least 72% Cacao) is good for you in small quantities. I will buy a bag of the Ghirardelli chocolate squares or the blocks of Godiva chocolates and will have 1 or 2 squares as a snack…

Starting Weight 235 CW 233 I was so pleased that I still lost a little weight even after all the festivities that went on this week! It has been hard to stay on track today tho!

I use RunKeeper and LOVE it! My husband uses CardioTrainer and prefers it. Both are good apps RunKeeper has a map of where you went, will give you all sorts of good information at different intervals during your workout (you choose when) like avg pace and distance as well as current pace and distance. At the end of your…

This time of year it is easy to get lazy. I am bad about it and am very fortunate that my husband is willing to listen to me grump and gripe while gently encouraging me to get up off my *kitten* and work out. At least you are logging in. Something will catch your eye and motivate you to get back on track. Try one of the 5…
