As a nursing student who's only ever performed CPR on dummies for maybe 10 minutes, I say ROCK ON! Two hours is hard core.

Wow! Seeing all of your successes has inspired me to keep going! I tried Weight Watchers for a while, but I came back to MFP just because it works better for me. I don't have any pictures handy, but... I'm 5'4 and I started at 233 and a size 20/22 and I'm now 170 and a size 14/16. I'm curvy, so my goal has always been…

I have a friend doing Crossfit and she absolutely loves it. She's had several knee problems in her past as well as a great level of weakness on one side on top of breaking both of her ankles at one point during college. Crossfit is doing a great job of working with her and modifying her exercises so that she can do them…

I would definitely talk to your doctor before ditching them completely. I've personally never experienced those side effects with mine, but I think it would be worth it to talk to your doctor about a different dosage or a different form of birth control.

I was the same way until very recently. Everyone told me how great I looked, but I never really processed it because I still saw the same fat girl in the mirror. You just need to focus on yourself and all the good that you're doing for you. Focus on all the good that you've done and how much…

Good luck! You're in a healthy mindset already and sometimes that's half the battle. :)

I'm not a nutritionist or a trainer, but what I've learned in my physiology and pathophysiology classes is that you need to use the muscle repeatedly to build the muscle. My suggestion would be to do a target muscle group with weights and alternate your muscle groups each time you work out. But as I said, I'm not a…

I agree. I'm also a boredom/emotional eater and I've found that if I'm doing something I don't snack. Even something as simple as reading keeps me from reaching for the snacks. I was crocheting while watching football yesterday and I found that I didn't want the popcorn that the rest of my family was snacking on. Good luck!

It's not necessarily bad to eat under the 1200 calorie recommendation. However, if it's consistently done for an extended period of time, you're more likely to gain weight rather than to lose because your body will go into that starvation mode. If you eat under the 1200 recommendation sporadically, it shouldn't be a…
