Hi all!
i am participating in a Miss America local pageant and am in need for some advice for diet. I competed this summer and during that time I weighed 125 ( I am 5'8ish, dancer). Since then, I have let myself enjoy the pleasures of life and I am struggling getting back on track. I am now 135 and have 6 weeks to get back into shape. I exercise everyday but have a night eating problem. Does anyone have a simple diet plan that can help me refrain from night eating and get these extra pounds off?
Thanks bunches!

I figured out that my night eating was related to boredom. Do you have any, or would you want to, take up a hobby that involves your hands but allows you to sorta zone to watch tv, listen to the radio, etc. I crochet which keeps my hands busy and out of the chip bag :)
  • If you feel the need to snack, try snacking on veggies, jello or even air popped popcorn.
  • I agree. I'm also a boredom/emotional eater and I've found that if I'm doing something I don't snack. Even something as simple as reading keeps me from reaching for the snacks. I was crocheting while watching football yesterday and I found that I didn't want the popcorn that the rest of my family was snacking on.

    Good luck!

I think you might like the Jillian Michaels "Making the Cut" it is specifically for quick results, getting ready for an event, I think 6 weeks is pretty good.
    Check out this thread:

it's a jump, but a lot of girls there are just trying to drop 10 pounds and there are some advice and plans and some details about the Jillian Michaels one.
