I mean you should ideally nourish your body with vitamins, etc. in fruits, veggies, etc., but there's nothing inherently bad about pizza. If you can eat it and stay within your calories for the day you will lose weight.

24 and going through a stressful career change. Could seriously use some more active friends on here

I didn't even know this thread has existed in the past, but it's bookmarked now! My rules: No eating in my bed (I have a studio apartment so this is way too easy to do mindlessly), and no eating past 9pm (because I usually just throw all caution to the wind and binge). Looking forward to participating in this  ETA:…

It's definitely something that you have to keep working on. They say willpower is like a muscle that you just have to keep exercising, and it'll get stronger. (I say this as a fellow "EAT ALL THE THINGS"-er) What's helped me is to think of your calorie allowance like a bank account. Have any left for those leftovers in the…

Interesting way to look at that, actually. I can see that being a pretty significant plus. @jgnatca , Interesting. I've been diabetic for most of my life and have never heard of that even being a possibility. I just read a bit on it. It's still a bizarre concept to me, hence my judgment at first, but I guess you learn…

I'm sorry, type 1 AND 2? Not possible... Also, I find glucose tabs can be nasty. I go for Starburst candies (4 of them is 15g which is recommended to raise a low BG). As for foods that don't spike BG, I love snacking on celery+PB. I'm not sure whether you're insulin dependent, but for me (again, type 1), I just give…

Didn't read it all. Got to "Too little is bad, too much is bad, just right is just right." Thank you, Goldilocks.

Hey there. Type one or two? I'm a type 1, but not sure what you mean by junk. As long as I know how many carbs I'm eating (I'm a runner, so I don't even really limit them that much) my blood sugar levels stay on track.

Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop 100 cal bags of popcorn. They do the trick for me!

Readjust your expectations. Otherwise you'll disappoint yourself early on and give up. Don't do that to yourself. Set a reasonable goal, and be persistent. The weight will come off if you keep working. You didn't put on 7 lbs a week, I guarantee it. So don't expect to lose it that quickly...

Check out whatwillilooklike.com You can search by height and weight and see tons of pics so you can figure out your own personal goals

Why on earth are you only eating 500-1000 calories a day?? Go for a sustainable deficit so that this plan will actually work long term.

Duke is going to put up a good fight for sure. But they deserve this win! Make 'em Believe!

You're doing great!! I can tell in your waist and also what i can see of your legs in these pics. I carry a lot of weight in my legs, so I can appreciate that

My family goes out to brunch for easter. Soooo, mimosas, eggs benedict, shrimp cocktail. Saving calories this week

It's all about the net deficit in the end. If you're in enough of a deficit during the week that eating at or even above maintenance one day won't undo all of your other work, go for it. Lots of people swear by cheat days for their sanity. I used to eat 1200/day and then have a cheat day once a week, and it worked for a…

Personally I try not to eat after 8:30pm, but that's just because that's when I'm most inclined to snack...a lot... It doesn't have to do with calories or my metabolism, but I find that giving myself a cut-off time keeps me from binging or mindlessly snacking when I'm not actually hungry. There are exceptions though,…

Wait why have I never heard this before? I love it!

Definitely not skimmed, which is why so many people specify "nonfat" lattes. Can't help you between the other options though, now I just want coffee. mmmmmmmm.

getdrunknotfat.com has a pretty solid database

You can spend YEARS "starting on Monday" or "starting tomorrow". Just binged? Cool. Log it, adjust your calories, do better starting NOW.

CA -- I put 120 on it when I got my license, and it hasn't been updated. Since then I went down to 115, and 7 years later, I'm currently at 143. Working towards that 120 again!

^ that. Losing weight is hard, but it's also incredibly simple. Patience is key.

You will still be in a deficit eating at least 2000 cal/day given your stats. You need to fuel your body, and you're eating well below your BMR which is how much your body needs to LIVE, let alone allow you to work, exercise, etc.

I love turkey burgers. I also use ground turkey for italian dishes like lasagna or spaghetti squash with meat sauce, and mexican dishes that call for ground beef. The same seasonings you would use on ground beef work to flavor the turkey and make it delicious
