  • I'm in the same boat! I'm concentrating on the food as someone had mentioned. I haven't done much exercise since I broke my ankle because I feel like our bodies need to heal rather than be exercising. Also I don't want to get my boot all sweaty and gross! Lol. Now that I'm feeling better and have the itch to get moving…
  • Ugh, there is so much to consider and it's so complicated. I also read about Leptin levels which also affects thyroid and I feel like I could fall into those symptoms of Leptin resistance as well
  • Thanks ladies! Hope I will get some answers! If they say I'm normal I will probly just try to treat naturally on my own anyway!
  • This thread has nothing to do with people new to weight loss either. But I guess if you look at every damn situation involving a donut it isn't always the worse choice, there you guys happy? Done here, this is stupid
  • And the insulin resistant will tell you that the donut sends you on a downward spiral leading to binges. So, not the best choice for everyone. Not sure why we're still talking about the donut, I reinforced the fact that OP eats clean, which does matter and that's awesome. I understand nothing is perfect though and that's…
  • Got it. My apologies, don't want to offend anyone. Good luck to OP
  • Again, sarcasm. I just wouldn't tell someone that a donut is a good choice even if they did need carbs
  • It was sarcasm, I don't think people need to eat perfectly
  • Right, everyone's situation is different, I didn't say to get hormones checked and then throw everything else out the window. Just saying that might be the missing piece if she thinks everything else is in check. I am the same way. I watch what I eat, exercise everyday, and still have issues. It sounds like she's taking…
  • Sorry, a donut is never a good choice. And yeah, if people want to try and lose weight and keep it off by eating the bare minimum and exercise double the amount. Go for it, it's just not sustainable. You agree with the abnormal hormones, so why not tackle the real issue instead of tirelessly working to mask that problem.
  • Cico is not for everyone. PCOS sufferer myself and in the same boat. I'm going in to get my thyroid tested next month and also thinking of doing a Leptin reset. Look into Leptin resistance. We all have factors that can lead to hormonal reasons our body isn't connecting to make our weight loss changes. Also a good read is…
  • I have done fasting after a cheat until I just started incorporating IF everyday. It helps to feel better, I also suggest working out in fasting state to rid of extra glucose. I find that there are waves of hunger vs not so try not to give in and drink your fluids!
  • Look up mug cake recipes, there are low carb lists out there too made with coconut or almond flour, everyone can pick their own ingredients since they are single serve and that way you don't have leftovers sitting around
  • I take the jarrow brand and do not experience any side effects, basically helps my mood and energy. So I may not be of help but if you're that sensitive to it maybe you don't need a high dose??
  • I had herbal and acupuncture treatment to get my period back after getting off BC to have my second child. I had tried metformin and didn't like how I felt on it so I gave naturopathy a try. It worked for me after about 3 acupuncture treatments and maybe 6 months of herbs. Everyone responds differently and the treatments…

  • Do you have a giant exercise ball? I use the ball to do the extension exercises, just making sure my feet are against the wall for stability. It gives a little more range instead of the superman movement and allows you to use weights too
  • Anyone ever try these coconut wraps? Only 4 net carbs! http://www.julianbakery.com/paleo-product/paleo-wraps/?gclid=COSw1rW47swCFQgoaQod8ggN1A I honestly don't know where to get them though
  • I second that inositol is worth trying. I didn't realize how much it reduced my pms symptoms and overall mood until I ran out of the pill form and was waiting for my powder to arrive. Let's just say the couple weeks I was off weren't pretty and my family probably hated me. Lol. So I take it for that reason alone and from…

  • Thanks all!
  • Have you tried inositol? I have regular cycles because I'm on birth control but in many pics forums it is a natural way to help balance things out. It helps my mood a lot, I think if your happy with your diet you should look into it. Also other supplements we are deficient in could be the answer, magnesium, omegas, etc.…

  • I found the Keto range to be the difference maker. I tried for months to lose with about 80-120g carbs and nothing happened. I have way less cravings with 10% carbs and keeps me away from all the junk that would somehow sneak into my day here and there. It may not be for everyone and I won't make it a forever plan, i just…

  • In! A company bake sale sent me off track and I'm ready to get back on as I feel like crap.
  • Good to know, thanks!

  • I've not been Keto long but already noticed the little goosebumpy things by my elbows have disappeared. I have sensitive skin and noticed other areas smoothing out.
  • It all depends what your body needs. Some people do not react well to carbs as much as people want to preach only deficients matter. I am insulin resistant so carbs were holding me back until I went Keto. If you feel like carbs send you down a path of binging and cravings you may want to lower. Before Keto I was stuck for…
  • I like to have fat bombs at night when I crave sweets. Peanut butter with coconut oil stevia and chopped pecans
  • There's been studies where over a certain amount at a sitting doesn't matter. I think it's around 30?
  • Hmm, I wonder if water kefir would be similar. I don't do dairy and need the probiotics since I don't eat yogurt. Guess I'll just have to let it sit a little longer so it's not as sweet and see how it affects me
  • Yes! My mom would make gelatin gummies for the grandkids because some need help sleeping. Taste good and other benefits as well. There are plenty recipes out there. Beats trying to add it to soup!
