I am on Atkins and use the shakes and bars everyday, they are nice convenience. I keep a few bars in my purse all the time so when I end up running around all day, I am not temted to eat something off the plan.

I'm down 2 lbs this week but I was up 2 last week after getting back from vacation, so I'm where I was a few weeks ago.

Low carb seems to work the fastest, eat lean meats and veggies with some healthy fats. I go low carb when I'm in a hurry to drop lbs, 4-7 lbs a week is what I usually drop, but I can't eat that way for longer than a few weeks.

You can do it but you have to ignore those comments, I also have had remarks made to me and Im not even at my goal weight yet. Next time someone makes a comment, just smile and say thank you.

Donuts, bagels any cake product. My son brought home a dozen donuts after school today and I asked him to take them to his room. My son would be very interested in doing this also, he looks like your before picture . I'll show him these pictures, that should motivate him more, he recently started lifting weights.

I have a treadmill, free weights and a few other pieces of equipment, I also have yoga and excercise videos. I workout first thing in the morning before I get to busy and find an excuse not to do it.

All of these except the noodles, taste pretty good when you're low carbing. Spaghetti squash "hashbrowns" are really good.

I know someone who had the surgery and lost a lot of weight quickly but she wasn't very happy as she was losing it. She has since gained back about half of what she lost, she regrets the surgery because she didn't train herself to eat correctly along the way. When I'm trying to keep my protein up and carbs and fat down, I'll have three egg whites in the microwave it's quick and easy. 3 large egg whites have 10.7g of protein, 0.17 grams of fat and only 0.72g of carbs.
