Anxiety and panic attacks ruled my life for a long time. It is very difficult to deal with and I am sorry you are going through this. I still struggle with it sometimes and with occasional depression but it has gotten much better and my life is much fuller and happier now. So, it is possible to get better

I agree with the above poster that patience is one of the hardest parts.

I am so incredibly sorry. You are here (and here is a great place full of support and great information to help you along your way), putting one foot in front of the other, going to school to become a caregiver and undoubtedly give back in a big way as nurses do and doing your best to maintain a normal life for your…

As far as recipes go there are a lot of great ones that mfp emails me each day. Also I log my own here as well and have an open diary. When I was starting out I just made a lot of substitutions to what I would normally eat. Ground turkey where I used to add ground beef, turkey bacon in place of regular, laughing cow cheese…

I figure if I can stay here for another full year then I will…

My teenage son struggled with terrible acid reflux for the first five years of his life paired with major dental issues due to acid levels in his saliva. It was awful. After years of doctor visits and different meds he was finally sent to Yale for allergy testing. Turns out he has food allergies. Also insect allergies,…

I am 5'6 and was at 224 lbs after the birth of my daughter back in 2007. I am currently at 139 aiming at 135, which I honestly didn't think was possible. I did it all wrong for the first 40lbs or so. Yoyo dieting. Not being consistent. Went up and down the scale for years. Then I found mfp. My initial goals were set at…

What are your goals? Why are they your goals? Maybe it would help to examine that a bit? I have been at both ends of the spectrum myself. Yoyo dieting was my life for a long time. Sometimes my obsessive thoughts would lead to losing too much and issues with food. Then I would find myself going the other direction and…
