GSW to the L. hip that cracked my illiac crest. Felt like some one hit me with a sledgehammer in the hip, then drove ice picks in for fun.

I was on Bystolic 5mg for a few years for pre-hypertension. My BP was averaging 132/78. I have mild LA rigidity and used to have bouts of stress induced ventricular tachycardia. I just got reduced to Bystolic 2.5mg with a plan to terminate medications within 6 months by my cardiologist because my trough values average…

Seek more help from your recovery team. Raise them up more, period. You need gains and you need them badly. Where you are in recovery, and given this post, that's debatable, you need to be eating more calories, and more protein and carbs even. Your body needs workout fuel and from what I've read you are not getting nearly…

You are there for YOU, never them. They don't matter. Keep telling yourself that every time you feel insecure about starting the golden path to gains.

By no means a comprehensive list, but a list of conditions, but some of these are fatal and/or have a low chance of ever recovering from them. Major Risks Anorexia Nervosa Cachexia Cardiac Arrest Demand Ischemia Myocardial Infarction Gallstones Malnutrition Metabolic syndrome Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Syncope Tachycardia…

2 days HIIT (60 Minutes @ 75-90% cardiac maximum), 2 Days Steady State (15 Minutes @ 65-75% cardiac maximum) 4 days a week heavy lifting (upper, core, lower body). It's working very well so far for me. Balance is the key, much like with nutrition. We need the cardio, and we need the strength training. 2 days of that week I…

Congratulations. Right there with you. Will be 39 this summer and I plan to have the flab gone by 40.

I'm just maximizing gains on my post count here. Also, OP needs an egg.

Clinician to english: He's likely got a collection of blood outside of blood vessels between the brain tissue and the inside lining of the brain in the front part (left or right). Going ONLY of what you have stated it sounds as though it's toward the serious end of the spectrum. It's all about pressure on the brain right…

Can't stand Oreos anymore, can't stand most fast food, period.

The question is when NOT to workout. The answer is give yourself recovery days, but otherwise whenever you feel like it.

Should have killed snake and used the protein for workout fuel.

well, it was to get below 250 without losing muscle mass, but scales today said that's done. So now it's get to 240.

Would be nice if they cut out hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils too, but this is a start. Also, don't confuse the business with the shareholders and some bad apple execs that screw things up. A lot of managers and executives are not bad people at all. Full disclosure: I work for big health care and big private…

Man, I'd love to see a before and after of your vitals, lipid profile + CMP. I'm guessing things are looking a LOT better for you now. Congratulations on not being MI bait.

Where did you get that most polyunsaturated fats are bad from? Considering they are an essential fat needed for the body to function.

Great article I think.

I go with gym membership, 2 of them in fact. I use 1 gym for strength and cardio training, while the other is a gym dedicated to combat sports.

I Watch an episode about the holy crap level of obese people and then say to yourself, this isn't going to be me. I also look at my patients here who are mostly Obese, in their 50s-70s, and are like the walking dead. Makes me want to run to the gym daily.

See your doctor, don't stop meds without a consult. Now that that's out of the way. I was put on Nebivolol (Bystolic) in 2011, gained 52 lbs in 3 months, developed several other nasty side effects over the years.

Maybe it's me, but a lot of CF just seems like stuff I did in the military in the field to keep in shape. By in shape I mean back in those days I had 15% body fat and could lift like a beast.

"I'm afraid of you now" Your response should be "than get at my level" Keep your guns, never be ashamed of them.
