I've lost 2kg this week :) Down from 106kg to 104kg! Which means so far I've lost 7kg (15lbs) :D Yay!!! Well done to everyone for good results this week!

Welcome!!!! Good luck to you, I know you'll love it here, MFP is a great support group :)

Thanks for all the advice and everyone's experiences! I think I might give it a go. Worth a try, hey? If it doesn't work out I can always go off it. I hope it helps me lose weight too that would be such a bonus! :)

Agree completely!!! Gosh I wish I had this problem ;) Good luck!

Mmmm I guess everyone is different, but from what I've read, you need to eat ALL your exercise calories back, as the calories you are given when you sign up mean you already have a calorie deficit! Exercising away more calories and not eating them means you aren't eating ENOUGH, your body goes into starvation mode, and…

Thanks so much everyone for your support! It means so much to have a group of people say such nice and supportive things. Some great suggestions too!! I've been off here for a couple of months... eep.. but have somehow managed to lose some weight (5kg or 11lbs). Planet fitness sounds amazing, if only there was one…

Ok, I've been so slack with eating (sick and depressed) and not posted on here at all! Eep! Back on the bandwagon and need to stick to it. My original weight was 111kg (245lbs), I'm not down to 106kg(234lbs) as of Monday, so I've lost 5kg (11lbs) in 3 months.. I'm pretty happy with that considering my lack of effort! I…

Oh my gosh.. I feel your pain! I think I'm a fair bit bigger than you, but I like (ok.. love) my boobs, and I almost secretly don't want to lose weight so my boobs don't go?? My sister lost a lot of weight and went from decent to non existent boobs.. I guess for me it's about being healthy - I may look ok now (I think?)…

True. Apologies. :flowerforyou: Though when someone says just after my post: "Quite frankly, *NO*" it does tend to make me a tad defensive!

All I was trying to say (in a roundabout, let's tell my life story kind of way) is that I think it's not quite healthy for a 10 year old child to be counting calories, dieting and going to the gym. I'm not implying that his mother is doing wrong by trying to teach her child about food and healthy habits, not at all. I…

I'm pretty sure that is the best quote I have ever heard! I think that is now my mantra haha. Thanks so much for everyone's kind and encouraging words!! This is my first day on here and it's so great that there is a whole community here for help and support! It's also great to know it's not just me who feels this way!…

I just have to say, congratulations! It seems to me that you are doing a great job of being healthy, and that is the best thing you can possibly do for yourself! I wasn't quite sure if you were eating your exercise calories from your post - if not, do!!!! Ditto what Stephanie said :) (Edit - good!) Maybe you aren't…

Hey there, I think it's great that you are trying to get healthy and help your son too. I suppose I just think it's a bit worrying to have a 10 year old on a diet and going to the gym??? The best thing you can do is lead by example, (which it seems you are doing, good job!) and encourage good eating habits and physical…

I need music to have a decent beat, and not be too annoying?? Lately I've made a playlist that's full of kasabian, phoenix, bloody beetroots, presets, MSTRKRFT, Deadmau5, the Aston Shuffle etc... and basement jaxx always gets me going! (WHERE'S YOUR HEAD AT!!!!) Hopefully that is of some help? :)

Me too! I wish I had left overs!! I'm the one going for a bike ride at midnight because I late night snacked on something then realised it put me way over my limit for the day  P.S. totally agree with everyone else - get to your 1200 calories per day or your body will do into starvation mode and hang onto the fat!…

Hey, I'll join too! I'm Hannah, from Australia, 22 and 243lbs (110kg). How do we join the group?? I'm new to all this :) I also have to buy some scales!!! :)
