I have upped my salt intake and my calories a bit but I think time he helped more than anything time has helped the most. I'm now in my 4th week and feel clear headed and more energized. I am going to go back to that body works class that Kicked my butt so badly yesterday and put my theory to the test. :-)

Yes- I do have hypothyroid but I take my medication very diligently: I lean toward cardio for the most part. Lifting wears me out so fast

I have been adding salt to my food- and I eat salty meats and cheese. My Cala are the suggested MFP calls for moderate activity and -2lbs weekly. My diary is open. I'll take any critism/ advice anyone has to give.

My biggest advice (which I have not always followed) do not get discouraged by plateaus and small gains and say F-it. Hang in there, the weight will keep coming off and u will always regret it if u quit and it comes back on

I do whey protein, but butters, almond flour, tofu, Tempe .... All delicious. If u use Pinterest at all, they have tons of vegetarian keto recipes. Even new fun ways to eat eggs

@slimsonic You know u are committed when u log everything (even when u go off plan). Omitting your mistakes will only hurt u in the long run and our diaries are for ourselves not to impress anyone else. :-)

@rowdyslady yeah- the alternative flours are expensive so I didn't get into it right away but I'm tired of eggs and shakes for breakfast. Haha

I think the classes are a good way to get your feet wet. Plus, it's a great way to meet gym buddies and knowing somebody always helps increase comfort and accountability

It gets better with time and I've been reading that your electrolyte balance has a lot to do with it so try adding in more salt to ur diet. I've also hear magnesium really helps.

I do. And it is satisfying to get the affirmation that u are doing it right. I just started 11 days ago and am already loving the way I feel.

@mcshorty7 Congrats on finding what works for you! The weight loss is great but the other health benefits are what makes giving up the sugar all worth it. I'm only 2 weeks deep but I already have seen my skin clear up, my cravings and hunger decrease and my body's energy increase!!!

@marimba2013 I hear ya girl! I have never been very good at the idea of "moderation" that's why I hoping the keto diet will be a good solution for my poor carb control.
