I was actually asking about micronutrients, not macronutrients. I've chosen 40-30-30 relation between carbs, fats and protein for now and going to stick with it for a while. The question was about other nutrients that you can set up in custom goal settings.

rileysowner, thanks for the link! The information there was very useful to me, I've decided not to rush into buying an HRM. I'll see how my progress goes in next several weeks, and maybe then will reconsider.

So, the online calculators use VO2 Max. They say if you don't know it just put 35. Trying different calculators I got around 200 calories burnt. Do heart rate monitors use VO2 Max as an input?

Yeah, I guess a HRM is the only option to be sure. So, if I kept my heart rate above 130 how do I estimate calories burnt?

I am on 40-30-30 ratio after reading Jillian Michaels' book where she divides people into 3 categories: slow, fast and balanced oxidizers. So, for balanced, she says, 40-30-30 works the best. ATT949, thanks for you post! Your charts are very interesting! I think it's a great idea to write comments about what's happening like you do, later they can be very helpful. I guess my chart would be completely opposite, with sharp angles pointing down and bumps - up. Good luck to you!

After my first workout with NTC I couldn't walk downstares for 3 days. lol. But I'm getting back to it. I wish it had more stretching exercises and had groups of muscles worked on in workouts' descriptions.
