I drink two protein shakes as meal replacements almost every day. 90 calories for the powder and then whatever you chose to mix in. I do coffee only in the mornings so just 90 calories. They helped me reach my first 100 pound goal when I got stuck and I plan to use them for the next 50. Here's the web site I order…

You look awesome!

Hey guys, obviously I haven't been able to keep up with the challenge over the past week due to all my personal stuff going on. But, I did read all the post today and want you all to know that I can see so much success in all of your stories and posts. Keep up the great work.

You guys are doing so great and I love keeping up with everybody. Here's my NSV for this week: I only work a few days a week right now as I am in grad school and really need my master's to get a good job. I was off last week and when I went back on yesterday not one, not two, but three differnt people made comments about…

I often eat peanut butter and toast too or fruit before going to bed. I'm a night owl and we usually eat around 6 so I get hungry. I use to eat cereal, but if I do that now it has to be dry as the milk gives me a stomach ache.

Have you tried "wallking" backwards? It works a differnt set of muscles and if you are like me, I can't do it as fast. Lowers my heart rate because I'm going slower but seems so much harder. Maybe I'm just crazy though....

Just wanted to stop in and catch up on the posts and send everyone some encouragement. The thing about this journey is that each of us faces moments that cause set backs. It is so important to remember that this isn't an "all or nothing" process. It's a "when I fall I must get back up" process. You guys are all doing so…

Walking Challenge: Friday - .5 miles Saturday - .5 miles Monday - .5 miles Love reading everybody's responses. It's always good to know that you aren't alone in the journey. So many of us face the same obstacles. Thanks for the support and motivation. Hang in there.

How can you know how much you want to lose and how much progress you've made if you don't step on the scale? By not stepping on it you are allowing a number that you don't even know to define you. And it's just that.....a number. It doesn't change a thing about your character. And, who says you have to give up peanut…

There is medical evidence to suggest that people who drink excessive amounts of water can develop a condition known as water intoxication. Typically this happens only to young children or marathon runners when they consume large amounts of water in a short period of time. It is rare for problems to occur if you have normal…

I joined a challenge with LauraLee. It's a knowledge and power challenge. I will be walking more this first week as that is part of the challenge.

I liked the ones I got to taste. My youngest son took them for a treat. He really liked them.

So glad everybody is here.

Wow Veronica...I am in awe at the answers to these questions. As a mother, I can imagine how difficult the choices you have had to make must have been. It seems as if you have faced each tough decision with grace in the midst of uncertaintly. I appreciate your honest responses and am motivated but what you have…

Week one Question: What are your challenges to excercise? Every one of the barriers listed in this article have been an excuse of mine at some point in my past. Now, my only challenge truly is just making myself do it and carving out the time on the days I work to do it. I have been successful at meeting my excercise goal…

Week One Knowledge Challenge 1. Yes, I am finally motivated to make the changes needed for my success to last a lifetime. I have already made so many changes and can honestly say there are very few things that I have let go of that I actually miss. And the things I do miss I just have in moderation - and I now understand…

I'm so laughing. My nieces and nephew were watching Good Luck Charlie this weekend at my parents. The next thing I knew the kids went outside and all the adults were still watching. My sister confessed she watches more than they do. Here are mine: 1) Biggest Loser 2) CupCake Wars/Ace of Cakes/Cake Boss (Yes, I see the…

Check out the Health-O-Meter website and look at their scales.

The best advice I ever got and now always give is.....just keep drinking it until it becomes a habit for you. I hated water. Now it is honestly all I drink other than black coffee and the occasional margarita. My body craves it. I started buying bottled water and suddenly it's all my family drinks too. Figure out if you…

I usually don't stick with videos or any excercise either. What I have figured out with 30DS and my Curves workout is that I can do anything for 30 minutes if I'm burning calories. With the 30DS you really don't do anything longer than a minute and then move on to the next thing. And there are 3 different levels, so when…

OK....you really don't look that bad. If the carbs concern you, you could cut out some of those bread, tortilla, cupcakes that I've seen on a few days and look for more low carb versions of those if you need them in your diet. Just by adjusting "bread and potatoes" most of us can cut our carbs considerably. I wouldn't…

I also have a Polar FT7 that I bought at Academy sports for $80. It's also not for me. I've been on the phone with the polar people and because of my size and the "type" of excercise I do - circuit/strenght training, it's not the most accurate for me. But, when I do use it for strickly cardio it does very well.

I added 30 DS as one of my excercises so it comes up on my options. The burn varies but their are many topics posted on her that give you some reasonable estimates. I burn around 270 doing level 1. I've seen some higher and some lower. Because the strength training lowers your heart rate purposefully during the video, your…

I'm in. I'll get my stuff to you soon. Did my measurements so I would have those. I'm excited.
