i always set aside about 100 calories for something sweet every night. by sweets, i mean something unhealthy such as chocolate or cookies or such, not fruit or yogurt. so how often do you guys splurge?

if i eat junk food, and i stay within my calories, i'll still lose weight, right? for an example, i just ate cream cheese and ritz crackers. not the best food choice, i know but as long as i stay within my caloric allowance, i'm ok? what if i'm using my exorcise calories for this?

if you deprive yourself too long of something you really want, you'll end up binge eating. instead, try eating the foods you like in moderation. if you want a cookie, eat half of a cookie, or work out extra to burn the cookie off.

i have a bad case of the munchies (not the drug-induced kind) i'm not hungry at all but i really want to eat something. i've tried drinking water but that doesn't help. what's going on? how can i put a stop to it?

i think that while the concept is good, the list of ingredients is impractical. i understand that all of the foods are supposed to be organic or whatnot but that food is expensive and you can eat healthy without having to shop at a health food store (although i do love my whole foods market:laugh: )

i had some questions that i wanted ask but i don't want to spam the forum so i'll ask them all in one sitting: 1) i only have time to work out about half an hour a day and burn roughly 300 calories. could this hurt me? i've read that people are burning 500+ calories but there isn't enough time in between classes for me to…

congratulations!!!!! i had classes cancelled on mon, something the university hasn't done in 14 years:laugh:   but i don't think we have electricity. we've been running on generator power for the past week. but there was no internet and i just about died without mfp!

i've heard that if you don't eat within an hour of waking up, your metabolism is slower for the rest of the day.

i'm not sure if i should do active or lightly active. i'm a college student so i spend a decent amount of time walking from class to class but i'm also sitting in lecture at least three hours a day. so should i do active or lightly active?

27 calories seems really low. even if you're using skim milk, the milk alone is more than 27 calories. and i've never seen any frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream thats less than 80 calories per every 1/2 cup.

mmmm minty brownies sounds so good right now. thanks for the tips! some of these are really good. i especially like the cooking ones.

tofu is only as good as what its prepared in. its like a sponge so if you have it with fried foods, it will suck up alot of the oil which completely nixes any health benefits it may have had.

so i went to king's island today in mason, ohio. i wasn't planning on going over my calories for the day but we were going with my aunt and cousins and they wanted mcdonalds for breakfast. not a good start. by this point i had already decided to make it a cheat day. lets just say i haven't eaten this much in a long…

so then what happens when you lose the weight you want? when you go off the diet, don't you just gain all of the weight back? its seems like a quick fix and as i'm sure many of you know, a quick fix means a quick gain-back.

doing weighted lunges and squats both work the inner thigh as well

i've heard very negative things about this machine like it doesn't burn any fat and only makes your thighs bigger. is this true? it works out the inner thigh which is the part that i want to work out the most so i'm hesitant to stop using. has anyone had a bad experience with this machine?

i eat as slowly so i can make sure that i'm not the last person eating. otherwise, if i see other people eating, it makes me want to go back for more. btw, where do you get the godiva chocolate tins?

i can sympathize completely. i managed to lose an initial five pounds but since then the scale hasn't budged. but my pants are looser so i know that i'm going something. best of luck to you. and remember, muscle weighs more than fat. as for your measurements, when you're measuring your waist, you measure the smallest part…

i work tomorrow form 4:30 until 10:30. during this six hours, i won't be able to eat anything at all. which means that i'll have to eat when i come home at around 11. and after work, i'm always so exhausted that i want to go to sleep right away and i know eating and then going to sleep is a big no-no. what is a hungry…

today, for whatever reason, i had a huge sugar craving. i usually allow myself a treat everynight like a skinny cow skinny dipper or something so i can make sure i'm not depriving myself. i had that today plus 3 starburst, a nerds rope, and a chunk of chocolate. i'm still within my calorie limit for the day so is this…

at the end of my workouts, i like to go on the treadmill at a speed of 3.0 and an incline of 15. i figure its a great way to burn extra calories and stretch the legs. but i noticed its much easier walk at a high incline if your holding the side of the machine. am i losing effiency when i do this and cheating myself out of…

i'm having trouble keeping an accurate calorie count when i eat out somewhere that doesn't provide nutritional information. i know you can find the info for big companies but what about those little cafe's? how do you add those calories? also, what does everyone do when someone else has prepared the food? how do you count…
