Ok....I am getting back on track

Today is the day that I am going to start over and try to not fall into the "I am so discouraged" downward spiral. I re-weighed myself and took all measurements and I am going to strictly go by measurements this time so that I see a positive change. I don't lose weight AT ALL because I don't have that much to lose, and so I become discouraged SO easy when I don't see any losses on the scale. That said, I am off to run on my treadmill!! :flowerforyou: So wish me luck this time around! I can do it! I am going to post my measurements here to hold myself more accountable. Maybe if they are public, I will try harder to say NO to the choc chip cookies that are calling my name!!

i can sympathize completely. i managed to lose an initial five pounds but since then the scale hasn't budged. but my pants are looser so i know that i'm going something. best of luck to you. and remember, muscle weighs more than fat.
as for your measurements, when you're measuring your waist, you measure the smallest part a few inches above your belly button, right? and then your hips is the widest part right under your bely button?0 -
I am motivated by your post mamaof2girls! I went ahead and took all my measurements this morning. I am ready to do this too, get back on track for good this time!

chest 40 1/2 inches
biceps 13 1/2 inches
waist 38 3/4 inches
hips 42 1/2inches
thighs 23 1/2 inches
I will come back in 1 week and post measurements and weight again. Tomorrow morning will be a good long walk. Tomorrow night while watching TV there will be some lunges, bicep curls and situps. 5 to 6 days a week exercise and counting those cals again should work~
