  • Go to the beach......
  • Ditto.... I HATE burpees !!! and don't get me started on push-ups! And the funny thing is.... if we only did these and nothing else, because we are using our own body weight, the results are wonderful.... (sigh).....
  • I am so happy to read that you are appreciated! No wonder you are wonderful to your wife, because she knows that she is not deserving or entitled.... just blessed lucky.... must be the luck of the Irish? (I read "Ginger" and I made an assumption. Please forgive me if I'm wrong.) Cheers!
  • Honestly, I prefer no cologne. It is actually offensive to me! Smelling clean.....like soap is great.... despite the "sweat" commentary going on, that is not really what you are going for. You want to smell nice.... so smell like you... a clean you.
  • Why don't you just be honest with him and tell him that his action or lack of action hurt your feelings? I honestly don't think he's purposely withholding celebration from you and so, I cannot jump on the "he's a jerk" bandwagon.... I don't know if your friend has ever struggled with his weight and he may not even be able…
  • Don't be too concerned with the calories/carbs from the sushi, but beware the sodium from the soy sauce. If you want to skip the rice, order sashimi instead. Try to stick to rolls that are not drenched in creamy or sweet sauces.... Other than that, enjoy your sushi.

  • I am only 5'2" and when I began my journey, I was happy dreaming of a size 6.... then 4... now a 2. I am certain that the makers of fashion are running 'big' these days.... meaning that while my tag says '2'.... I am probably really a 4. The goal, however, is to rock it, not just wear it!
  • Miss Congeniality - 'You think I'm gorgeous... You want to kiss me... You want to hug me... You want to love me... You want to smooch me... You want to hug me.'
  • 2012 Nissan Altima (2.5S) - wink-
  • Your body needs time to calibrate the BC... about 2 months (cycles). During that time, it is likely that you will retain water, which will affect the numbers on the scale. Do not be discouraged. If you are consistent with your plan, it will pay off. Do not register to the 'belief' that BC will prevent you from losing…
  • I do not mean to be 'negative' and I certainly do not want to discourage you, but cellulite is such a part of the female body as breasts. You can reduce the appearance of cellulite but unless you go and get lipo, you (not You specifically but you in general) cannot get rid of cellulite completely. Now, having said that....…
  • Do not feel discouraged. People are going to notice... it is going to be sudden and so shocking to them... like you woke up one morning and you were skinnier. =) You just keep on! You're doing great.
  • (my) constant state (of) mind
  • It truly depends on your body type. Some of us see results faster than others because we have the tendecy to be more muscular, for me.... I can see results in 10 days.
  • You have to know your audience.... communication is: the right message at the right time to the right people delivered in the right way.... so yes.... it most certainly counts.....
  • I don't have children but I do have siblings that are 7, 12 and 20 years younger than me. Hence.... why I have no desire for my own...
  • Swimming. Stationary bike, the kind you sit low in. Walking. Your knees will get better as you lose weight. Your back will get stronger with activity.
  • Writer but of what.... novels, articles or blog?.... and who is my audience and what is my subject?.....that is not that clear yet... hence why it is a dream and still not a reality. But it will happen =)
  • It's normal. I go through that same slump almost every winter. The best way to overcome is to plan and then execute... plan your meals and your workouts and just do it......if you miss/skip fail one... don't think that you have ruined ALL of your work and so keep on eating poorly or skipping workouts until you can be…
  • I take Vitamin B Complex every day. Why? Becuase it stabelizes my mood, helps me to cope with stress better, just to name a few of the benefits. I get mine at Sprouts Farmers Market. =)
  • You are overthinking this... this is way too deep for a pound lost.... but the best thing I can compare it to is water. Water has 3 forms. Liquid, ice and vapor. When you lose a pound... it is still in existance but it is now in for of vapor therefore, you no longer need to 'store' it. Perhaps it will help if you think…
  • I'm not worried about your safety. A sports bar is a HUGE living room full of people who love sports and beer... go and have fun. You will, no doubt, find a buddy to banter with. =)
  • You have two options.... eat more or run less.
  • I have come to the conclusion that when I am working out.... or done, rather, it is when I look my friendliest, most approachable and lesss intimidating. It is when I am looking like a wet cat that I get hit on the most. (shrug)
  • Class of 1997 (woot!)... if I remember correctly, I was around 140 lbs and a size 10. Today I am 123 lbs and a size 6 or maybe a 4 but I don't know because I refuse to buy new clothes until I reach my goal.... but I digress.... a difference of 17 lbs!
  • I don't like anything artificial so the way I worked around that one was buying 'flavored' coffee. My favorite is 'French Vanilla'. You do have to adjust to the change and accept the new form. You just can't get away from that but you will grow fond of it. I promise. Coffee is too delicious... even black!
  • Honestly, I expect to see some of this at the gym. It's like going to a public pool. I can expect bathing suits. Gyms have a 'dress code' and staff to enforce those 'rules'. I don't have to worry about it. So I don't. Nothing scares me and I am not easily offended so I am not even paying attention. And if people want to…
  • Yes, I do have a suggestion. Ask for help! Tell your husband that you need his help. You can't assume that he already knows that....while it should be obvious that you do.... if you don't speak up and say, 'Hon, can you get the door. I'm feeding the baby,' then you can't resent him. You can't hold someone responsible for…
  • Both are great alternatives and both are very boring..... keep them both close-by.
